Vicky, however, was recording Timmy's voice on a tape, the "in a dress" part, and played the tape, but the tone of voice for "in a dress." was normal, not angry. Shouldn't it be the same?

Continuity mistake: In the episode "Odd Jobs", when Timmy's dad is a racecar driver he nears the finish line, his car explodes, and he goes flying, landing within inches of the finish line. However, at the next shot of the cars driving across the finish line, Timmy's dad is now lying a number of feet away.
Answer: That's just decorative. The gas pedal is always on the right and using the left foot would be quite awkward.
