Audio problem: (1982) Alan and Monica: They spar, and Monica escapes to safety, in their bedroom, locking the doors. Alan threatens to "break it down" and she relents. Alan enters, leaving the door wide open, and they spar again, as Monica threatens him with alimony and the "shirt off his back" which he gratuitously supplies; literally ripping it off and throwing it at her. They fight some more and she breaks away as he grabs her into a passionate kiss, lowering her to the bed. Suddenly you hear the door close, in the background. The bed is clear across the room, so Alan could not have simply kicked it shut. (00:06:30)
Deliberate mistake: During the 6/11/04 episode, Jax and Courtney are having dinner in Italy. Carly, who is in New York, does some sleuthing, finds out where Jax and Courtney are, and flies to Italy. Miraculously, Carly manges to fly from New York to Italy and arrive while Jax and Courtney are still eating dinner.
Factual error: Robin, Laney, and Kelly decide to move into the loft that used to belong to Courtney. When Courtney lived there, it was set up like a loft. It was one large room that was sectioned off into a bedroom, living room, and kitchen. On the 9/29/06 episode, they show Robin, Laney, Kelly, and Patrick in the loft and suddenly it's much larger and seems to have separate bedrooms for all three girls. Why didn't the show have the three girls move someplace other than Courtney's loft or why didn't the show make up for the mistake by having the loft expanded or something similar?
Continuity mistake: During the 12/29/04 episode, Emily goes to look for Conner. Emily goes to a carpentry shop and asks the owner if he has seen Conner. She tells the owner that Conner "just moved here from Canada." Acually, she's looking for him in Canada. In the next scene, the show gets it right, and the owner asks Conner "Is that why you left the States?"
Plot hole: During the 3/29/05 episode, the MetroCourt restaurant is cordoned off as a crime scene following the mob hit. Regardless of the fact that the restaurant is sealed off with crime scene tape and police are present gathering evidence, three characters (Alexis, Diego, and Maria) manage to walk past the crime scene tape and past the cops into the restaurant. Alexis is there taking pictures of the crime scene, even though she is not an employee of the police department nor the DA's office. Maria is there going about her business as manager of the restaurant and Diego is hanging out having a conversation with her. At no time does a police officer ask any of the characters to leave the crime scene area.
Plot hole: During July 2005, Port Charles is threatened by a hurricane. The characters that are gathered at Lorenzo's house are told that the bridge has washed out and that they will all have to stay at Lorenzo's house until the hurricane passes. Even Alexis, who's pregnancy is threatened, has to stay there because emergency crews cannot get to the house. During the July 14, 2005 episode, Nikolas leaves Lorenzo's house to drive home and Courtney leaves where she is to drive to the house. All the characters even reiterate in the same episode about how they are all stranded due to the storm and the bridge being washed out. So why would Nikolas think that he could get home and Courtney think that she could get to the party? Obviously, this was written so that Courtney could run off the road and Nikolas could save her.
Plot hole: During the 12/29/04 episode, Courtney counsels Sam and Jason about adopting a child. She then includes Bridget, the biological mother, in the discussions, and proceeds to go over legal issues, etc. She even states that the "papers should be on her desk in a day or so." Courtney is not a social worker, not an adoption counselor, and didn't go to college. Only in soap world would she be involved in arranging the adoption of a child.
Factual error: During the 10/29/04 episode, Emily was taken hostage by Conner. While she was tied up, she told Conner that his wife, Mary, had killed three people before she died. Mary only killed two people, Sage and Trent. Later in the same episode, the show got it right, and Emily stated that Mary had committed double murder.
Continuity mistake: During the 11/3/03 episode Emily takes off her wedding band and engagement ring to prove to Nikolas that she's ready to move on. She is even shown leaning down to put the rings on a table. In that same scene (when she and Nikolas are kissing), her wedding band and engagement ring mysteriously reappear on her left hand ring finger.
Deliberate mistake: During the 11/15/04 episode, Alcazar and Lois make love in his living room. At the end of the episode, someone knocks on the door. Rather than go in the bedroom, Lois remains in the living room while Alcazar answers the door. Of course, it's Lois' teenage daughter, Brooke, and she sees her mother naked in Alcazar's living room. Deliberate plot hole to faciliate a reason for Brooke to run away in the 11/16/04 epsiode.
Continuity mistake: At the end of the 11/30/06 episode, Sam goes to look for Jason at Liz's art studio. Jason is not there and Sam and Liz get in a confrontation regarding Jason. The front piece of Sam's hair is in a braid. At the beginning of the 12/1/06 episode, it picks up right where Sam and Liz left off in their conversation, but the braid is now gone from Sam's hair.
Factual error: During the 8/25/06 episode, Sam, Alexis, Kristina, and Patrick are in the hospital to discuss Alexis' upcoming surgery. Patrick asks Alexis and Sam if they are sure they want Kristina to be here for this. Sam responds that Kristina doesn't know a lot about hospitals. Sam goes on to say that Kristina has had some band aids and bruises and that Kristina knows you get stitches here. Actually, Kristina should be very familiar with hospitals. A couple of years ago, Kristina had a stem cell transplant using the stem cells from Sam's baby.
Deliberate mistake: There is no way that Dylan and Brook Lynn are the same age according to the show's history. Dylan was conceived during Paul's and Tracy's marriage; in fact, on their honeymoon. Ned, Brook Lynn's father, didn't even know Brook Lynn's mother, Lois, at the time. She wasn't even a character, yet. Ned had to divorce his wife Jenny, meet Lois, date and become engaged, marry Lois and then they had Brook Lynn, which was about five years after Dylan was born.
Plot hole: During the 4/7/05 episode, Jax and Courtney are trying to obtain Rachel's medical records. Monica proceeds to give them Rachel's medical records. Monica Quartermaine is a well-respected heart surgeon at General Hospital. I know that she was suspicious of Rachel and wanted to help Jax and Courtney, but giving them Rachel's medical records was illegal and she could have lost her license.
Continuity mistake: During the 5/31/05 episode, Liz and Lucky are at Kelly's Diner celebrating and they hug. While they are still hugging, the scene changes to Sonny's mansion and Mike is there babysitting Michael. When the show goes back to Kelly's, Liz and Lucky are breaking out of their hug and Mike is suddenly working behind the counter of the diner.
Plot hole: During the 3/25/05 episode, Jason realizes that Courtney is at the MetroCourt. The assassination attempt on the rival mob boss that Jason arranged is about to happen. Jason, fearing for Courtney's safety, heads to the MetroCourt. He is too late to prevent the assassination, and luckily, Courtney was not hurt. Wouldn't it have made more sense for Jason to simply have called the people about to carry out the assassination and call it off once he learned Courtney was in the restaurant? Obviously, the show wrote it this way so that a witness could place Jason at the scene of the shooting, thereby setting up more story.
Visible crew/equipment: In 1987, when Robert knocks out Duke in Keystone SD hotel, when Sean is tying Duke up, at the end of the couch, above Duke's head, you can see the camera moving. In 1985, when Robin is angry with Robert, the camera boom is visible. In 1986, when Duke is in the hospital, the shadow of the camera man is visible on the left side of Duke's bed in many scenes.
Other mistake: December 1986, when Anna comes to GH in her ball gown that she wore when she and Duke first met, the dress is not the same. It was sleeveless June 6, 1986. Now it has sleeves.
Visible crew/equipment: In the 1987 Mt Rushmore conclusion, when Robert knocks Duke out with the infamous WSB chop, the put Duke on the couch. When Sean is tying Duke up is apologizing to him, at the end of the couch for several seconds (behind Duke's head) you can see the camera man moving.
Continuity mistake: S57 E214. Jordan is wearing grey nail polish when she gives TJ the engagement ring for Molly. Next scene at the docks for a drug overdose, she hugs Taggert and the nail polish is black.
