Factual error: At the end when Ms. Finster tells Randall to give her the names of the kids involved with the ball incident, she says to list them in alphabetical order. The first name Randall says is "Dettweiler, T.J." But "Blumberg, Mikey" would actually come before that, and given what we know of Randall, this isn't the kind of mistake he is likely to make.
Call Me Guy - S4-E10
Factual error: When Gus walks in, all kinds of kids have their backpacks on, like they just got there. Then Jordan asks Gus when he got there, which was 7:58, just a couple of minutes ago. Then TJ says, "Who's up for some kickball?" But it is already after 8:00, meaning they would be late.
The Shiner - S3-E9
Factual error: In the beginning, right before the class is noticing TJ's shiner, Ms. Grotke says, "Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President..." which is true, but on the poster behind her, it says "Abraham Lincoln, 14th President."
Suggested correction: Incorrect. The poster correctly reads, "Abraham Lincoln, 16th President."
Speedy, We Hardly Knew Ye - S1-E10
Factual error: Near the middle of this episode, Gretchen says hamsters don't hibernate. They do, it just depends on the time of year and if it's a wild hamster.
Omega Kids - S2-E16
Factual error: In the beginning, when everything on the playground is swamped out, there is a see-saw in the front of the playground doors. It is never ever seen again in an episode of Recess. For example, in "The Great Jungle Gym Standoff", Ms. Finster comes out those doors and asks T.J. what he is doing.
The Great Jungle Gym Stand Off - S1-E21
Factual error: When TJ says that he and the rest of the gang met at old rusty, it shows you a flashback and the kindergartners are wild, but they only became wild when Gus arrives later (as said in All Growed Down).
Suggested correction: It's not true. After Gus "changed" the kindergartners he was sent away from school.
This correction misses the point of the mistake. In "Recess: All Growed Down," when Gus moves to the school, the kindergartners are shown as "normal," but then Gus changes them to be wild, and they start to have torn clothes and paint on them. However, in the flashback scene in this episode, it shows the gang meeting on the first day (excluding Gus), and they have torn clothes and paint on them. This doesn't make sense because they only became that way when Gus moved to the school.
Factual error: When Stuart escapes and jumps out of the classroom the clock reads 9:00. but after Mikey runs out to go get him the bell rings immediately after. Recess wouldn't be that early.
Yes, Mikey, Santa Does Shave (2) - S2-E18
Factual error: In the actual play, T.J. is the Spirit of Hanaukkah, and he has 7 candles on his costume. However, there's 8 nights of Hanaukkah.
That Stinking Feeling - S3-E11
Factual error: When Lawson catches the ball in the end-zone, you realize he's NOT in the end-zone.
Factual error: After Digger Dave and Digger Sam split up, they show that Sam was unfocused and was digging everywhere. Even through concrete?
Factual error: When Menlo is hoppin' scotch, he lands on 10 with both feet, and 10 is a single square.
Suggested correction: He does, but this is simply a mistake Menlo makes as a character. And it is not a 'character mistake'; I can see many people making a very simple mistake like this while playing hopscotch. I know I probably have as a kid. Also, he lands on an 8 square, not a 10 square.
Pharaoh Bob - S2-E12
Factual error: The history teacher who gives King Bob the idea about the pyramids says, "After over 4,000 years, we still know their names: Ramses...Amenhotep." But Amenhotep never built a pyramid, he built great complexes. No pyramids.
Factual error: When Gretchen is typing the pardon on Mrs. Lemon's typewriter, the paper that she is typing on doesn't go up and out of the typewriter gradually as it should. It goes up all at once when she's almost done typing.
