Smallville

Crusade - S4-E1

Factual error: There is a snow pattern on the Quicktime player after Chloe's message to Clark finishes. She would have recorded in on a camcorder, so there wouldn't be any snow pattern, it would be a blue or black screen. The only way there could have been is if she recorded it, put it on VHS, then copied it back onto a DV tape, then transferred it back onto her computer, but there's no reason for her to do this.

Scare - S4-E10

Factual error: When Lionel is leaving the prison, there is a bus unloading convicts as he walks past. No prison in the world would ever unload inmates and release an inmate in the same area at the same time.

Knever

Unsafe - S4-E11

Factual error: Alicia gives Clark the necklace with red kryptonite and this causes him to break Alicia's bracelet a few shots later. She then is able to teleport once it is removed. Now, according to the story, that bracelet prevents her from teleporting by releasing 'trace' amounts of lead into her bloodstream. If that were the case she would have to wait until the trace amounts were cleared from her system to start teleporting again.

Suggested correction: The way her powers work is unknown. Her body may be able to quickly remove trace amounts of lead from her body, which is why she would need to constantly have trace amounts put into her bloodstream.

Bishop73

Recruit - S4-E13

Factual error: While Clark is standing on the field at Metropolis University at the end of the episode the shot pulls back to show the entire field. As it does there are two 50 yard lines visible and the goalposts in the wrong position because it's a Canadian football field, but Metropolis University is in Kansas.

Recruit - S4-E13

Factual error: Clark finds Lois in the sewer and decides to use his heat vision to destroy the lock of the gate that is separating them. Clark uses his heat vision on the lock and the lock explodes, this is a very minor explosion. It also causes the door to fly off the hinges. Now the explosion from the lock is odd since heat vision causes things to melt and not explode, but Clark wasn't even using the heat vision on the hinges and they are destroyed. This is inconsistent with how his heat vision has been shown to work before.

Krypto - S4-E14

Factual error: Clark huddles over Krypto to protect him from the blast of the exploding van. He does not cover Krypto's head before the blast of fire hits them yet Krypto shows no sign of damage. At the very least the fire should have singed his fur.

Suggested correction: There's nothing to suggest a dog with super powers would get singed from the blast. He's already been seen jumping through fire and Clark carried him through the fire again with no fur being singed.

Trivia: Clark always wears blue and red clothes (or at least one of these colors). No surprise that when he got his Superman costume, he chose those same colors.

Show generally

Question: Throughout the series, people mutate fairly soon after their exposure to kryptonite. Is it ever explained how Lana has managed to wear a piece of kryptonite around her neck for 12 years and not change?

Answer: The kryptonite only creates mutations when it reacts with the environment and an individual. Remember, the FDA and several environmental groups did check out Smallville after the meteor shower, but found no danger in the rocks. Obviously they're not always emitting mutating rays, or all the flora and fauna of the surrounding area would be horribly mutated.
