Redux - S2-E6

Continuity mistake: When Lex finds Clark in the Talon doing his essay, he sits and talks with him. He puts his cup on the table and puts his hands in front of him. In the next shot, Lex now has his arms crossed in front of him on top of the table.

Redux - S2-E6

Continuity mistake: Clark rushes to get to school in Lex's car and we see principal Reynolds closing the gate to the school. In the close up, we see that the principal is off to the left of the lock of the gate. Cut to a different angle (his back to the camera) just as Clark arrives in Lex's car but now he is standing in front of the gate lock.

Redux - S2-E6

Continuity mistake: The "Go Crows" sign Lana is working on changes depending on the camera angle. From the front you can see the! at the end. In the close up shot of the sign, the! is now gone. When Lana underlines "crows" it's back but the writing is slightly different.

Suggested correction: When she kisses Russell, she kisses him longer than she did Troy. We even see him age faster the longer she kisses him, indicating the length of time she spends absorbing someone's youth, the faster they age and die.

Lineage - S2-E7

Continuity mistake: When Jonathan runs up to Lex, while he is unconscious, the first shot of Lex has his arm bent but not near his face. The shot switches to look down on Lex and now he is laying with his hand considerably closer than the previous shot.

Lineage - S2-E7

Continuity mistake: When Lana shows Chloe the picture of her mother and Henry Small. We see that Chloe holds the picture on its bottom corners with both her hands. Cut to a close up of the picture but now she is holding it in the bottom middle of the picture. Cut back to the previous angle and she is holding it by the corners once again.

Lineage - S2-E7

Continuity mistake: When Lex comes to after being kidnapped by Rachel, she wipes his face with a piece of cloth using her right hand. She then transfers the cloth to her left hand and continues to wipe Lex's face. Cut to a different angle as she says "I bought it with the money your father gave me" but now the cloth is instantaneously back in her right hand.

Lineage - S2-E7

Revealing mistake: As Sheriff Ethan pulls up there is a reflection on his driver side window. You can see the police department shield on the door and the door handle reflected on the driver's side window. There were no other police cars there so it was probably reflected off a mirror used to help light the scene.

Lineage - S2-E7

Continuity mistake: In the flashback when the Kent's meet Clark, we see Jonathan loading the space ship onto the back of the pick up truck. He then see Martha carrying Clark who was wrapped up in a blanket. At first we see that Martha's left arm is wrapped around Clark's back onto his shoulder. Cut to Jonathan's viewpoint and now Martha is just supporting Clark and her left arm is no longer around Clark.

Lineage - S2-E7

Continuity mistake: When Lana was talking to Chloe after Clark and Chloe have a fight. Chloe says "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to dump on you" as she wipes away her tears with both her hands. Cut to a different angle but now her hands are no where near her face.

Lineage - S2-E7

Continuity mistake: Lionel press conference about Lex's kidnapping only infuriates Rachel. She then picks up an axe and was about to swing at the tied up Lex when he manages to get his right leg free and kick Rachel backwards. As she falls backwards, we can see that she drops the axe off to her left side. Cut to a different angle but now the axe is over her head to her right side.

Lineage - S2-E7

Continuity mistake: As Jonathan and Martha drive away in the truck, we see Rachel for the very first time and she has both her hands in her coat pockets. Cut to a close up but now her hands are outside the coat pockets.

Lineage - S2-E7

Continuity mistake: The woman uses her right hand to get a swab for DNA testing from Clark. At first, we only see her right hand near Clark's face. Cut to a different angle as she says "There, now that didn't hurt a bit did it?" but now her left hand is close to Clark's face.

Ryan - S2-E8

Plot hole: Mayor Tate and Lex have a discussion about bribes and Tate says this is his 4th term (near the end of the episode, Lex is showing Mayor Tate an attack ad which is saying Tate has been the mayor for the past 12 years and Smallville can't afford another 4 years of Mayor Tate, so it's been 12 continuous years). In last season's episode "Crush", Pete gets a job as a summer intern on Mayor Spiegel's re-election campaign. So how is it possible for Tate to have been on his 4th term when in the previous year Spiegel was Mayor?

Ryan - S2-E8

Continuity mistake: Nell meets up with Lana to talk to her about moving to Metropolis. We see Lana going up to Nell while riding a horse. She then stops and is about to dismount when they cut to another angle but now Lana is dismounting yet again.

Ryan - S2-E8

Continuity mistake: At Ryan's surprise welcome back party, Clark puts his right hand over Ryan's shoulder as he asks him "you knew about this didn't you?" Cut to a different angle as Ryan responds "I was tempted too" but now Clark's hand is no longer on Ryan's shoulder. Cut to Clark then back to Ryan and now Clark's hand is back on Ryan's shoulder.

Ryan - S2-E8

Audio problem: After Ryan collapses at Lex's, he and Clark are talking while Ryan is in the hospital. In the shot of Clark as Ryan says "I know what's wrong with me." Ryan's mouth is visible and you can see that he is not speaking the line as we hear it.

Ryan - S2-E8

Continuity mistake: Lex brings some comic books to Ryan at the hospital. He holds all of them with his left hand. He then shows 66 of the comic to Ryan and holds it with both hands. Cut to a different angle and now he is holding the comics with just his left hand once again.

Ryan - S2-E8

Continuity mistake: After Clark finds out that Ryan is dying, we see him holding a comic book in the farm. His dad then arrives and he turns to look at him. He places his left hand to his side as he holds the comic book in his right hand. Cut to a different angle and now both his hands are together in front of him.

Dichotic - S2-E9

Revealing mistake: When we see Ian split, his two selves are supposed to be looking directly at each other but they're really both looking slightly to the right. It's hard to focus when there's really nothing there. (00:15:45)

Trespass - S6-E14

Martha Kent: Clark? What are you still doing out here?
Clark Kent: Well, I'm still doing my chores.
Martha Kent: Well, you usually finish those in about two minutes. How is it that I drove to Metropolis, attended the Children's Foundation dinner, and made it back before you finished?
Clark Kent: Because I'm doing them the normal way.

Trivia: Clark always wears blue and red clothes (or at least one of these colors). No surprise that when he got his Superman costume, he chose those same colors.

Answer: In the comics, Krypto is a dog from Krypton who was used as the passenger in a test launch by Jor-El, Superman's father, before he launched the actual rocket taking his infant son to Earth. Krypto's capsule was involved in a mishap, sending it out of Kryptonian orbit and eventually found its way to Earth where he linked up with the young Clark Kent. Like any native of Krypton, Krypto has superpowers on Earth. In Smallville, the dog is a standard Earth dog who has been experimentally injected with kryptonite, giving him super-strength for a limited period of time, who escapes and links up with Clark (who suggests the name Krypto, ostensibly because of the dog's cryptic origins). It doesn't take too long for the dog's strength to fade, and the Kents decide to keep him, although they ultimately name him Shelby, after a dog that Martha Kent had in childhood.
