Towering Alan - S1-E6

Continuity mistake: Just before Alan leaves the fair, there is a wide shot of him at the table. When the angle changes, the extras have moved and the sun has come out. (00:08:55)

Basic Alan - S1-E4

Continuity mistake: After Alan says he's like to know what it feels like for an airbag to go off in his face, it shows a shot of Lynn. In the next shot, she is looking up and Lynn has her finger in the air. (00:14:40)

Dwarf

Basic Alan - S1-E4

Continuity mistake: When Alan walks back from the petrol station down the M11, a white van drives past him, yet in the next shot the van has vanished. (00:12:00)

Dwarf

Basic Alan - S1-E4

Continuity mistake: When Alan sees the staff playing charades, he turns to look at them. In the next shot he has moved about three feet closer to them. (00:03:25)

Dwarf

Watership Alan - S1-E3

Continuity mistake: After the cow is dropped on Alan's boat, there is a quick scramble of shots. One of the shots shows the farmers who just dropped the cow. However, this camera shot shows them (and the bridge) as being a lot further away than they actually could be having dropped the cow only a few seconds earlier, especially given that the boat is moving slowly and appears to stop when the cow is dropped. (00:27:00)

Moose

Alan Wide Shut - S2-E6

Continuity mistake: During the segment when Alan is on 'Prayer Wave', the clock on the wall either doesn't move between shots or jumps ahead in time - progressing about 12 minutes in a 6 minute segment. (00:17:45)

The Colour of Alan - S2-E2

Continuity mistake: During the meeting with Pete, Michael comes in and lowers the torches attached to the bicycle wheel. He lowers the wheel, and then uses one hand to turn the torches on and the other to hold the rope to stop the wheel from falling to the ground. The shot cuts back to him and he is now using both hands to turn the torches on and the rope has already been tied off in the background. The shot cuts away and then back to him and the rope is back in his hand and he walks across to tie it off.

Trivia: Given that the BBC are very much against product placement in their shows, its shocking the amount of placement that goes on in Alan Partridge. Its really in your face stuff. Ginsters pasties, BP petrol, Lexus cars, Flavia coffee machines, Directors bitter, Twix and Yorkie bars. In every episode the above are mentioned on numerous occastions. Not that I give a hoot about product placement myself, but am so surprised at how blatently obvious it is and yet the BBC have always been so against it.
