The X-Files

Home - S4-E2

Other mistake: When the attackers leave the sheriff's house they walk and run as normal people, although in previous scenes they walk in a clumsy way. The same in the scene with chasing pigs. (00:23:00)

Musings of a Cigarette-Smoking Man - S4-E7

Other mistake: In the episode "Musings of a Cigarette Smoking Man," when CSM is writing his letter of resignation on his typewriter, you can see that the letters are already there - he is simply typing over them. (00:39:30)

Tempus Fugit (1) - S4-E17

Other mistake: When Mulder opens the body bag containing the "partial" remains of Max Pfennig (AKA Paul Gidney) a pulse can be seen beating in the right side of the corpse's neck. (00:18:10)

Mind's Eye - S5-E16

Other mistake: Since the apartment was supposedly "turned inside out and upside down, " as Detective Pennock claims, it would be practically impossible that such an obvious place as the shaving blades container not be dug up thoroughly by the police. (00:12:15)

Mind's Eye - S5-E16

Other mistake: When Marty is being transferred and 'sees' herself because the killer is watching her, she should have seen herself viewed through a wire fence, as the killer was standing behind one.

All Souls - S5-E17

Other mistake: In the police station, Scully looks twice at a photograph of one of the dead kneeling girls, whose eyes should be burned out in the photograph, but they are normal.

The Pine Bluff Variant - S5-E18

Other mistake: On the information text at The Beginning of the scene telling the viewers where the scene is taking place, it is written as the "First Sovereign Bank of Pennslyvania" in "Harrisburg, Pennslyvania", instead of Pennsylvania, misspelling the name of the state both times.

Folie a Deux - S5-E19

Other mistake: When Mulder is on his knees in the cafeteria talking to the gunman, there are several shots where you can see the sides of his jacket hanging wide open because of his raised arms, which would make the gun on his belt easily visible to the gunman as he talks to him, but he somehow doesn't see it until he goes to take Mulder's phone.

The End - S5-E20

Other mistake: In order to leave such bloody footprints, CSM must have stepped into the puddle of blood. It is impossible because the guy shot by CSM could not bleed so much blood in such short time, not mentioning that CSM must have intentionally stepped into it. (00:05:20)

Trevor - S6-E17

Other mistake: This episode establishes that whenever Pinker Rawls passes through solid matter, his clothes remain behind, as anything he is wearing does not share his ability. However, late in the episode when Jackie throws the pot of boiling hot soup at him, the soup is shown to completely pass through his shirt, when it should have stuck to his shirt instead.

Phaneron

Milagro - S6-E18

Other mistake: When Padget supposedly tears out his heart with his hand and keeps it in his hand, one can see that the heart's blood vessels were not torn out but must have been precisely cut with some surgical tool. (00:01:50)

Milagro - S6-E18

Other mistake: Padget hands over one page of his book to his imagined character who is invisible to anyone else except him. Therefore, the page should hover in the air for an external observer. However, Scully watches his apartment on a monitor and notices nothing strange. (00:38:05)

All things - S7-E17

Other mistake: The surname on the envelope is "Szczesny" (which is of Polish origin and means "Lucky"), so its pronunciation should be something like "shtcheznhy." However, in the subtitles the surname is written as "Szezesny" and pronounced by Scully accordingly. (00:06:30)

Provenance (1) - S9-E9

Other mistake: When Agent Comer is trying to steal the truck, he wants to hot-wire it. To do so, he unplugs the power and ignition wires in order to short-circuit them. When the owner unexpectedly appears, Agent Comer beats him up, steals the ignition key and starts the car with the key. The problem is that after unplugging the wires he cannot start the car with the key anymore. (00:20:40)

Bad Blood - S5-E12

Visible crew/equipment: I don't know if this is visible in all formats, but on the newest UK release on DVD, watching in widescreen, it's amazingly obvious. When Mulder recovers from the vampire attack, he gets up from the floor and breaks up a chair to make a stake. There is a shot of his feet as he smashes the legs off and bends to pick up a piece. In the bottom left hand corner of the screen, you can see a crew member's hand carefully and quickly placing a piece of wood on top of the pile for Mulder to pick up.

Trust No 1 - S9-E6

Question: After blowing up the car, when the NSA guy answers Scully's question, "How the hell do you know my size?" he says, "I know the name of your college boyfriend, your true hair colour, your ATM PIN number." This strongly suggests that red is not her true colour. Therefore, my question is: What is the true colour of Scully's hair?

Answer: He was being facetious. He doesn't specifically know that information, he was merely giving examples of the types of information he has access to.

I think so too.

Answer: Actress Gillian Anderson's natural hair color is strawberry blonde, which she dyed fiery red. (Although in the revival of the show she wears a wig).

The question does not concern Gillian Anderson's true hair colour-it concerns Agent Dana Scully's true hair colour.
