Day of Days - S1-E2
Audio problem: When Easy are attacking the 88 battery, in the scene where Buck scouts out what's ahead of him before throwing grenades, you can see a soldier holding an MP40 (machine pistol), who fires one shot with the sound effect of a Kar98 rifle. (00:31:50)
Day of Days - S1-E2
Revealing mistake: When placing the German grenade into the barrel of the German, gun you can see the cord used to set timer is still attached. (00:36:40)
Suggested correction: The cord doesn't have to be fully removed for it to work so showing it like that is not a mistake. The grenade will smoke quite a bit if the primer is ignited so even if the cord isn't fully removed they'll know quickly enough the pull was hard enough to ignite it.
Day of Days - S1-E2
Character mistake: Winter calls his officer Major Strayers, when actually Strayers was a Lt Colonel. Winters made the same mistake in Currahee when walking upstairs with Capt Sobel.
Suggested correction: Strayer didn't become a Lt. Colonel until 1945. In fact, Winters took over leading 2nd battalion of the 506th from Major Strayer when he became a Major and Strayer was promoted to lead the regiment.
Day of Days - S1-E2
Factual error: The artillery cannons at Brecourt Manor are pointing south instead of north as they should be.
Revealing mistake: When trying to take the warehouse, we see a German machine gun position in a lower window. Pay close attention to the brickwork below the window. There are several marks visible that all end up with a bullet hole in the middle of them, hiding the charge for the effect. (00:14:30)
Factual error: In this episode we see Blithe get shot in the neck and are told that he died in 1948. In reality he was shot in the shoulder and survived. He later served in Korea and was promoted to master sergeant as well as receiving the paratrooper of the year award. Blithe died in 1967 while on active duty in Germany.
Revealing mistake: When the first tank comes during the final battle, look carefully at the German sitting on it and you will see that he's actually a dummy.
Replacements - S1-E4
Other mistake: When Heffron is taking his throw at darts, he states that he needs a "double seven". When he takes the throw, the dart goes into the treble eight (an earlier close-up confirms that the board has the standard Gamlin configuration), yet, from the reaction he gets, he's made the throw he was going for. (00:04:40)
Replacements - S1-E4
Factual error: Miller states he got a "Presidential Unit Citation" ribbon as part of the Normandy landings. However until Jan 1957, it was called a Distinguished Unit Citation. (00:07:30)
Replacements - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: When the medic is shot while attending to Patton, he is shot in the left leg but holds his right leg while on the ground. (00:27:00)
Replacements - S1-E4
Revealing mistake: Just as the Tiger fires its second shot and hits the garage, look closely and you can see where the break in the wall is going to appear. (00:32:05)
Replacements - S1-E4
Visible crew/equipment: When the damaged Sherman is from behind rolling forwards, two crew members can be seen guiding it in white T-shirts through the hedgerow. (00:33:20)
Replacements - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: Just after the Sherman has knocked down the telephone pole we see two German guys up on a roof. In the long shot there is a bullet hole in the brickwork in front of them and in the close up it's gone. (00:34:30)
Replacements - S1-E4
Revealing mistake: Just as the one soldier is sent flying over the wooden fence surrounding a building, you can see break away marks on the post where he will hit it. (00:34:40)
Replacements - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: We see Cobb firing over a small wall that is disintegrated by mortar fire. The camera does an instant cut and now Cobb is just hiding, not firing. (00:36:20)
Replacements - S1-E4
Visible crew/equipment: At the end, as they are moving out there is a high shot of two trucks driving towards the camera. The first truck reflects the camera shadow on the ground. (00:52:20)
Replacements - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: In the shot before Buck falls back he fires twice. The first time it's ok, the second time the cocking bolt on the side of his Thompson doesn't move.
