Twice the Grieving, Double the Loss - S1-E7

Revealing mistake: When Jake screams "Talk to me!" at the doll in the station and it says "Hi, I'm Billy! Wanna play?!", you can tell the reflection of Jake in the plastic has been added in post. It unnaturally wobbles a little bit at the end of the shot, especially his shoulder area. (Looks like they tried to motion-stabilize the shot used for the reflection a bit, which can sometimes make a weird "wobble.")

Revealing mistake: During the flashback, when Chucky is putting on his coat to leave the apartment, if you look very closely, you can just barely see the outline of either a very tight sports bra, or chest-binder top under Chucky's white shirt. (The white shirt is ever-so-slightly translucent in the light.) Since Chucky is played by a woman in these scenes, this garment would be used to help hide her breasts and give her a flatter, male-looking chest.

Revealing mistake: During the flashback, when Chucky leaves Tiffany in the apartment, as he leaves, you can catch a glimpse of the platform shoes actress Fiona Dourif is wearing to make herself seem taller when she plays Chucky. Now, you might argue that Chucky is just wearing platform shoes in the scene but the problem is, this scene takes place shortly before the opening of the original movie, where he's NOT wearing those types of shoes.

Death by Misadventure - S1-E1

Audio problem: When Jake gets to school, a kid tells him his Good Guy doll is "cool." Jake asks if he wants to buy it, and the kid replies, "No thanks." But his mouth isn't moving. (The shot cuts while he's saying it, but you can tell his mouth isn't moving.)

Goin' to the Chapel - S2-E7

Trivia: SPOILERS: In season two, episode seven, when Father Bryce explodes and it is shown over and over from a multitude of angles, it is a direct homage to the 1978 film "The Fury." At the end of that film, a character explodes in a similar fashion, being shown over and over again from different angles. Series creator Don Mancini has discussed how much he enjoys "The Fury" in the past, and has thrown in some subtle references to it in the "Chucky" franchise.

Answer: They were blamed for the death of Jake's foster brother, which was deemed a terrible accident, and they were sent to the reform school as a punishment. Presumably, when they had to leave the reform school given what happened, they were instead given community service as punishment.
