Continuity mistake: When Ae-sun is giving the green ring to Il-suk, whilst saying "I want a lot and I want it fast, it's urgent", she is holding with her hands and bag raised up to her stomach, but in the next shot, her hands and bag are nearer to her stomach. (00:07:53)

Continuity mistake: When Dong-mae is watching Ae-sin eating the gobstoppers, she has two fingers extended. When the shot cuts to a closer angle of her, those two fingers are now pressed together. (00:16:55)

Other mistake: Dong-mae is standing atop a balcony, several meters above ground. Yet he is able to fully hear a conversation that two men are having about Ae-sin whilst they are on the ground and standing far away from the building he is in, without any of the other people or market stalls drowning out the sound. Continuity mistake: When Eugene is speaking with Gwan-su after Gwan-su is threatened by the Musin society, in the shot where Gwan-su says "What can I interpret when I know no Japanese", the ribbons used to tie his hat with can be seen resting underneath his chin, completely still. In the next shot, the ribbons are suddenly blowing in the wind. Then they are completely still again in the next shot. (00:26:05)

Continuity mistake: Whilst in the rowboat, Eugene splashes Ae-sin with some water. In a shot focusing on Eugene, Ae-sin can be seen placing her hand over her face. When the shot cuts, her hand is suddenly positioned to the right of her face. Then in the shot after that, her hand is away from her face completely. (00:42:22)

Trivia: Daily Mail journalist Frederick McKenzie takes a photo of the Righteous Army, which is stated to be the only existing photo of Korea's freedom fighters. This photo is a direct recreation of a real-life photo of the Righteous Army, taken by Frederick McKenzie (who was a real-life war journalist) and is to date, the only existing photo of Korea's freedom fighters.
