Continuity mistake: When Roberto is looking at the team having a laugh with the still injured Ishizaki, there are 10 of them in the first shot with no keeper included and 10 including the keeper in the second. Both are wrong though, since Ryo has a substitute that is playing, so should be 11 players all along. Later in the episode when they run for the special training, it's 12 people, with Ishizaki still sidelined, but in the close-up of Roberto's foot you can see them run past, and it's 11 players. (00:07:05 - 00:10:10)
Continuity mistake: Ryo Ishizaki is wearing yellow boots at first, then blue boots when he's throwing balls to the training partners. (00:02:15)
Other mistake: Misaki's dad just arrived at the stadium, and seeing his son play, he strokes his beard with a satisfied look. Problem is, he's still standing and the hand that rubs his chin was holding a toolbox he did not have time to put down (or anywhere to place it on, for that matter). (00:10:40)
Continuity mistake: Taro Misaki's flashback starts with him juggling the ball as he wears a pink shirt and black pants. The pants change to green in the next shot, but even more surprising, he gets blue hair. (00:09:45)
Continuity mistake: Mr. "OONN", the goalkeeper of Urabe's team, gets to wear a uniform completely different from his teammate's, but we saw him walk into the stadium exactly with the same tracksuit as the others 2 episodes earlier. And that he's wearing again in this same episode after the decisive goal. (00:07:05 - 00:13:45)
Continuity mistake: When Wakabayashi dives and catches the cross as it's still high in the air, Misaki and Tsubasa are to his right, then to his left. (00:05:15)
Other mistake: After the first extra time, only 8 players (plus the keeper and Ryo) are back to the bench for all the pep talk and chat. (00:16:55)
Continuity mistake: Wakabayashi is still on all fours, dejected after being bested by Tsubasa. He lost his baseball cap parrying the shot in the right corner, but now both his beret and his wounded pride are towards the opposite side of the goal. (00:05:00)
Kick-Off for the Future - S1-E3
Other mistake: When Manabu is approached by the bully, his glasses in close-up lack the bridge. (00:13:40)
Continuity mistake: At the time of the injury, Ishizaki's sock in close-up is full white, blue-striped when he gets up. (00:19:30)
Other mistake: Supporters cheer Ishizaki when he is trying to break the birdcage tactic. One of the guys who screams at him though is wearing the "S" jersey Shuutetsu supporters wear. (00:17:55)
Other mistake: Tsubasa's diving header hits the post square in the front in close-up, but in the wide shot it rolls out for a goal kick to the right of the post. (00:09:20)
Blocked Off - S1-E6
Continuity mistake: Masaru parries with his face the shot that beat the keeper. He does so being close to the left post, but when the scene is over he's in the middle of the goal. (00:09:40)
Blocked Off - S1-E6
Other mistake: Masaru apologizes for the blunder (he butted heads with a teammate). Tsubasa cheers the rest of the team; look at the goalkeeper. He's wearing the same uniform as the rest of the players instead of his red jersey. (00:08:05)
The Football Is My Best Friend - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: When Taro and his dad see at the horizon Tsubasa and Roberto going home from their training, there's no football next to Taro's legs. His sneakers are also different, with no pattern. (00:22:00)
The Football Is My Best Friend - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: Taro Misaki says bye to his friends since he has to follow his dad elsewhere. Between the penultimate shot of him leaving and the previous and the last, the kids have changed entirely their clothes. (00:13:05)
The Football Is My Best Friend - S1-E4
Audio problem: When Tsubasa says bye to his friends from the top of the overpass, his mouth is not animated for the greater part of the line. (00:04:30)
Continuity mistake: When Ryo tells Roberto that a drunkard like him is unfit to be the coach, next to him there's someone with an orange jersey, but there's nobody wearing that color in the wider shots. (00:21:10)
Continuity mistake: Throughout the episode, the ranks of the team Tsubasa battles against keep changing and going back and forth between 10 to about 13 people.
