Chapter 15: The Believer - S2-E7
Continuity mistake: Mando is facing the second wave of 'pirates'; he throws his malfunctioning blaster at one of them and then moves on to face him. You can see the alien just went past the second disk of junction between the cargo, but in the wider angle they are fighting with being already almost past the third. (00:15:25)
Chapter 15: The Believer - S2-E7
Continuity mistake: When Mando faces the third wave of marauders on top of the truck, he punches the first one in the gut after dodging his assault. He disarms the second one, then turn towards the first, that is already weaponless and reeling without having been hit (he was hit in the stomach as he was running past Mando, he wouldn't be facing him standing, some of the fight must have been cut). (00:16:30)
Chapter 15: The Believer - S2-E7
Revealing mistake: The first time we see Imperial troops saluting Bill Burr and Mando from their POV inside the truck, they are using their left arm. A couple cuts later we see that the shot was flipped, since everyone on the bridge, both sides of the truck, is saluting with their right hand. (00:19:00)
Chapter 15: The Believer - S2-E7
Continuity mistake: Cara and Fennec are scoping the anti-air cannons of the base. When Fennec says "Shouldn't be a problem" her left bang is gone from her face in a stark contrast with the previous shot. (00:24:45)
Chapter 15: The Believer - S2-E7
Continuity mistake: Valin Hess pours a drink to the two troopers. He asks "Where are you from, Brown Eyes" and screws the lid on; look at the quantity of liquid in the bottle. Next shot and it dropped significantly, to the point that barely any is visible anymore in the transparent section of the bottle. (00:25:15)
Chapter 15: The Believer - S2-E7
Continuity mistake: After shooting the officer with the odd southern accent, Mando and Mayfeld start shooting at the random innocent people. Mayfeld shoots two officers at a table, and you can tell that the second one was already up in the first shot, but in the second he gets blasted when he's still leaning on the table with his elbow. (00:27:50)
Chapter 15: The Believer - S2-E7
Continuity mistake: When Cara shoots down her first trooper ("Got 'em"), you can notice in her scope that the guy falls from the window adjacent to the one Bill Burr is in, but in the overhead shot Burr is still just barely coming out of it. (00:28:35)
Chapter 15: The Believer - S2-E7
Continuity mistake: Escaping from the mess hall windows, Mando shoots a trooper with a sand-colored uniform who was trying to hit him from a lying position. Next shot and Mando is standing, not crouching as he was to finish that enemy. (00:28:40)
Chapter 15: The Believer - S2-E7
Continuity mistake: When Fennec calls Boba on the radio ("We're on, start your run") her wisps of hair change position between shots. (00:28:45)
Chapter 15: The Believer - S2-E7
Other mistake: The two heroes run away from the cafeteria through the side of the building. The snipers are luckily positioned with a perfect view on their fortuitous escape route and start killing people. When Mayfeld reaches the top, we see one stormtrooper getting hit by the sniper - but the laser beam comes practically from behind him, at an angle that appears not compatible with Fennec's position. (00:29:20)
Chapter 15: The Believer - S2-E7
Other mistake: The final art of the credits shows Mayfeld jumping on the Slave-1 with Mando helping him. Mando is in his full Mandalorian armor though, which would have been impossible at that point of the story. (00:34:55)
Chapter 15: The Believer - S2-E7
Other mistake: Somehow during the episode Cara and Fennec, on foot, manage to get to the base at the same time as Mando, who is on a truck. Moreover, Cara is the one with Mando's armor in a sack, but when Mando emerges from Slave-1, he changed clothes, and he's back in full uniform.
Chapter 15: The Believer - S2-E7
Plot hole: The Imperial terminals have facial scan recognition...or just facial scan, really, since ANYONE regardless of being part of the army or not can just access any information of any level, as long as they have ANY face that the app can scan and identify as not being a known criminal.
Suggested correction: The facial scan prevents droids from stealing data from terminals.
And also criminals from doing that. It runs a check, as I said in the entry. Against "Any New Republic registry", even, which should disqualify also Mayfeld being a convicted felon, but that's another issue. Who designs a security system that does complex checks about who is a wanted criminal or part of 'the other side' but does not check if you are part of their side? Also, any low level trooper (or nobody, even the janitor) can just access any information of any level, including the location of their special forces cruiser.
Maybe it just checks if you're human. You never see non-humans as part of the empire. A lot of non-humans are as "subspecies" by the empire.
Chapter 15: The Believer - S2-E7
Other mistake: The first guy that tries to put a detonator on the rhydonium opens its container freely; the Empire is transporting its precious deadly explosive in unlocked containers! But later on Mando is struggling and the baddies have to use their pointed sticks to open the containers.
Chapter 15: The Believer - S2-E7
Other mistake: Before the tunnel the truck drivers communicated with the base, and the base itself is warning another vehicle about their speed. Despite this level of monitoring, the heroes board the truck taking their sweet time to change in suits and have friendly banter. Considering the convoys are attacked frequently by terrorists, it's hard to imagine that a large discrepancy of that kind would have stayed unchecked.
Chapter 15: The Believer - S2-E7
Continuity mistake: In a semi-comedic moment, Mando throws his blaster at one of the marauders, since it does not work. After the prolonged fight, he slips back into the truck, and when he comes out, he has a new blaster in his holster.
Chapter 16: The Rescue - S2-E8
Other mistake: Boba's ion cannons disable, as the shuttle co-pilot mentions "avionics and comms." Yet Boba is able to warn them that they are gonna be boarded. How? (00:02:15)
Chapter 16: The Rescue - S2-E8
Continuity mistake: In the scene with all the Mandalorians just hanging out at some bar, Boba Fett retorts at Sasha Banks' character; "if it isn't the quacta calling the stifling slimy." There's a cut and his rangefinder is inexplicably tilted forward. It is back to normal in the rest of the scene. (00:06:15)
Chapter 16: The Rescue - S2-E8
Other mistake: Shoulder to shoulder, Cara Dune and Fennec Shand advance shooting Stormtroopers on a bridge. But look where Ming-Na Wen is aiming; she's never gonna hit anything in front of her, and if there's any threat all the way to the left where she is pointing her blaster, it is never shown. (00:14:50)
Chapter 16: The Rescue - S2-E8
Continuity mistake: In the bridge shooting scene, Gina Carano has the blaster in her left hand, except in the last shot before one single stormtrooper tumbles off the bridge and into space; the blaster then is in her right. (00:14:55)
