Continuity mistake: In the orphanage fight, Kate at one point is pushed against a pillar by a villain who holds her against it. She grabs a fire extinguisher and smashes another guy in the jaw with it. She does not drop this weapon nor hits with it the villain who is holding her, but in the next shot she is just punching and elbowing him. (00:19:05)
Revealing mistake: In the Batcave, the protagonist looks at the newspaper clipping about the death of her mother. The rightmost column has a headline "Children traumatized after ride of terror", and a sign ("by Lucy Moguire"). And yet, it begins like this; "With the population of the planet ever increasing, so does the demand on Earth's resources." It's a lazy copy and paste by the prop department, putting some global warming report as filler text. (00:27:40)
Continuity mistake: When Alice is talking to Jacob Kane with Sophie on the plank, she says "Can your little birdie fly?", holding the radio with all fingers straight and on the side of the device. Cut to "For if she moves an inch..." and her fingers are curled, with the pinkie at the bottom. (00:33:15)
Continuity mistake: The hair on Sophie's cheek as she stares at Batwoman after landing on top of her and is in kissing range is parted in locks that move and differ across shots in noticeable way (for instance when Kate pulls the gag off her mouth there's a very thin one curling to her lips, but it's a thick lock right after). (00:35:00)
Continuity mistake: When Kate is writing the diary entry for Bruce, in the close-up the written part is taking barely half of the page, while in the overhead shot it is taking way more - the last lines being presumably actually scribbled by Ruby Rose have a much wider spacing. (00:40:20)
Revealing mistake: Batwoman gets shot in the alley; the bullets create bad looking CGI sparks each time they hit her suit. When she gets back to the cave and sits down as Luke scolds her, you can see her suit bends and folds at the breastplate all rubber-like, making even more unlikely the fact that bullets would create sparks on impact (for what is worth, in the following episode there's a close-up of a bullet hitting the breastplate of the suit and there is no trace of sparks and not the slightest give from the material). (00:02:00 - 00:03:55)
Revealing mistake: The Wonderland gang henchmen dispose of the Crows' van through fire that causes a nice, clean, completely fake CGI explosion, looking entirely disjointed from the rest of the background. (00:02:00)
Continuity mistake: In the Batcave, Kate holds the childhood picture with her sister by the sides in the first shot, by the bottom in the close-up. (00:08:40)
Plot hole: The (real) villain of the episode needs for their own agenda to retrieve the knife Kate brought to the Crows' headquarter in hopes to have it analyzed, and they assault Kate and Sophie while they are in the garage discussing the matter. Even assuming that the villains knew the two women were in that particular location having infiltrated security at the Crows (at the end of the episode Christine speaks of 'whatever surveillance was in the garage', not exactly sounding like she knows any detail), they had no way to know they would be there at all. They were in the garage just because Kate asked Sophie for 'somewhere private'. If their goal was to prevent Kate from having the knife tested, they needed to stop her before she got to the Crows at all. (00:12:20)
Continuity mistake: When Kate and Sophie are in the parking lot and Kate gives her the knife for analysis, she is holding the plastic bag in different ways between shots (you can see the ziplock of the bag change position, and her hands shift in the distance). (00:12:20)
Factual error: Alice and Kate's little reunion underwater is disrupted by policemen that fire at them, and one of the shots reaches the transport truck, ignites it and makes it explode. The scene is baffling; forgetting the complete disregard for fellow policemen in the vehicle, how would bullets have enough strength to penetrate into an armored truck deep underwater, reach a critical weak point from that angle (the truck is upright, they should be barely get to shoot the roof of it) and still underwater cause inside the completely immersed vehicle a spark that would ignite fuel and make the whole truck explode? (00:31:45)
Continuity mistake: In her diary entry at the end of the episode, Kate puts the pen down to fetch the file. She puts the pen by the diary at first, but in the next shot the pen is on it, in the middle of the page. (00:40:20)
Plot hole: Batwoman sees live on TV the explosion that sends the truck into the river, while she is in the clinic of her stepsister on top of a building. She needs to go get her bike and drive to site. Fox says that she is "5 minutes out" when the truck is shown going completely underwater, with Alice inside who has been unconscious all the time. Even assuming that she makes it in less time than that, she still has to leave her bike somewhere and access the river from a somewhat secluded spot and swim to the spot, because the bridge is crawling with cops. There is no way that Batwoman would be able to save her and Alice would be totally fine, needing simply an aqualung to get back to her senses (and somehow survive an explosion that nearly kills Batwoman with her padded 10 million dollars suit).
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the episode, Kate is sitting at Bruce's desk. In front of her as the camera closes in there's a newspaper, and it is slightly raised because it overlaps a packet of letters. A few seconds later Kate puts down the black card, and the newspaper, which she has not touched, is sitting perfectly horizontal on the desk. (00:02:10)
Continuity mistake: The bat-signal (or bat-light as Alice calls it) is on a rooftop looking entirely different from the one established in the first episode (from minute 4 on). (00:03:10)
Suggested correction: Yes, because Kate re-designed it.
Ohhh, okay. I must have missed the part when she said she was doing it, my bad. Which episode?
I'll have to look that up, which I will when I have a chance, but it follows in line with the redesign of the batsuit and emblem.
Continuity mistake: In the shot when Luke puts back on the table the double action grapple hook, the large bullet-shaped item next to it changes position compared to the rest of the scene. (00:11:30)
Continuity mistake: Kate arrives in front of the newspaper. Directly behind her a guy a bit on the chubby side is arriving as well. But he already was in the crowd shown before, looking at the dummy. (00:11:40)
Plot hole: During the investigation for the security breach at Wayne Enterprises, the policemen are recalled for an emergency at the Gazette. (would make no sense that they are so short on men right in the core of the city that they'd need to call people away from an active investigation like that, but fine). The radio code used is "10-54", which is supposedly according to sources online "possible dead body", it perfectly fits the situation. When Kate arrives on site, people are just then starting to flock the area. Where have they all been before? It is impossible that someone called the police on it, who are somewhere else entirely, but several minutes passed by and every curious bystander is just arriving now with the protagonist. (00:11:50)
