'Otoko rashiku' de ikô! - S1-E1
Continuity mistake: During the episode, whenever the crew watches Akito fight, the shots from behind show to the right of the nasty admiral Sadaaki Munetake (the guy with the bad bowl cut) his fellow with blue hair, and to his left the short guy with a moustache. In the front views, it's the opposite. The Prospector (the brightly colored fellow, purple pants, pink vest, yellow shirt) also appears in the front view but is nowhere in sight in the back shots.
Midori no chikyû wa makasetoke - S1-E2
Audio problem: In the hangar scene at the beginning, Goat is talking to Akito. Seiya Uribatake in the background is arguing with his fellow mechanical worker about the reparations to the Aestivalis. The conversation happens in the back of the hangar and it is meant to be strong background noise, annoying enough to prompt Goat's reaction, but in the English dub it is so strong that quite literally most of the main dialogue is nearly inaudible because of it. The dubber also adds a surprised/scared "waah" at the end when Goat cuts him off, but that is incredibly delayed compared to the reaction of the character on screen. (00:02:35)
Midori no chikyû wa makasetoke - S1-E2
Continuity mistake: Yurika throws a series of cans to Akito. They are all red in the side view, but in Akito's hands they are of three colors (red, orange, brown, light purple). (00:05:15)
Midori no chikyû wa makasetoke - S1-E2
Continuity mistake: When Gai inserts the disk in the player, in the close-up other disks are close to it on the table, but in the wider shot nothing else is on the table but the player itself. (00:10:50)
Midori no chikyû wa makasetoke - S1-E2
Other mistake: Gai and the rest of crew are watching and old Gekigankar episode. The timer on the right corner of the tape goes from minute 49 to minute 52 between shots in the span of a few seconds (with a continuous audio in the background and dialogue between characters in the foreground). Some of the shots in the rest of the episode Miss the hour in the corner at all, and there's some back-and-forth with time (even if one can assume in that case they switched episode). (00:12:50)
Midori no chikyû wa makasetoke - S1-E2
Other mistake: When Yurika restarts the Nadesico, one of the screens pop up with a huge congratulatory "SAFATY ROCK OFF." (00:18:05)
Hayasugiru 'Sayonara'! - S1-E3
Continuity mistake: The Far Eastern Commander rises and tells the Supreme Commander that 70% of the crew is Japanese. Behind him, the person to the left of the frame is of fair complexion, while in the wider shot he had a much tanner skin color. It changes again when Yurika's dad is shown standing; now both people behind Tanaka Saburu are fair skinned, and the one to the right lost his facial hair. (00:04:00)
Hayasugiru 'Sayonara'! - S1-E3
Other mistake: In the English dub, the Prospector says that the ground based missiles are part of the third line of defense, while they are part of the fourth. (00:06:30)
Hayasugiru 'Sayonara'! - S1-E3
Continuity mistake: Uribatake is checking on the prisoners from the door. In the wide shot of the room, the admiral and the one next to him are at greater distance than their close-up that follows. (00:08:40)
Hayasugiru 'Sayonara'! - S1-E3
Other mistake: In the original version, the Supreme Commander of the UE (United Earth) is addressing the assembly in English. Problem is, it's the Japanese version of English, with an obvious non-native speaker, and what he says is sometimes barely intelligible (when he says the Nadesico is "however going to head away", the last words sound like "ho ahoy", just to give an example).
Mizuiro uchû ni 'Tokimeki' - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: The crew, with the freshly added 3 Aestivalis pilots, is going down with the turbolift. In the view from above, Jun Aoi is standing close to the wall, to the side of Goat. In the shot that follows though, he is in front of him impeding part of the view. (00:11:45)
Mizuiro uchû ni 'Tokimeki' - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: During the 'double attack' against the robot called by Hikaru with a Gundam reference "Devil Aestivalis", her mecha is in front of Izumi's as they approach waving left and right, but when they get punched away Izumi's is the one leading the attack. (00:18:40)
Ruri chan 'Kôkai nisshi' - S1-E5
Other mistake: Seen from behind, the HUD of the game Ruri is playing is missing the mirrored version of the score. (00:02:00)
Ruri chan 'Kôkai nisshi' - S1-E5
Other mistake: In the first shot of the room during the funeral, everyone is wearing black. But a moment later, the camera pans left to right the front row, and the person behind Izumi is wearing a grey tailleur. (00:04:25)
Ruri chan 'Kôkai nisshi' - S1-E5
Factual error: Being set in the future, it is of course possible that some things changed, but it is worth noting that there are around 50 various flags behind Jun during the explanation of the funeral diversity, all real flags of contemporary countries - but the Cuban flag is the only one that is shown incorrectly mirrored, with the triangle on the right and not on the left. (00:05:20)
Ruri chan 'Kôkai nisshi' - S1-E5
Factual error: Amongst the weirdos with personalized funeral requests, besides a guy from England with the same residence as Sherlock Holmes, there's a guy who believes to be a vampire, Gyappy. He really believes in his classic Bela Lugosi character to the point of not having his age written down, but his residence is a generic "Poland, Earth", while it should be Romania or Transylvania. (00:07:00)
Ruri chan 'Kôkai nisshi' - S1-E5
Continuity mistake: When Megumi mentions the fact that the captain celebrates weddings and not just funerals, the magazine in her lap has a light blue cover. After Yurika runs away bawling, her magazine has a red cover with different artwork. (00:07:40)
Ruri chan 'Kôkai nisshi' - S1-E5
Other mistake: After looking for the special nanpura sauce, Akito is dashing through the corridor crossing paths with Yurika. Behind him in the frontal view the corridor looks empty, but a moment later his cart blazes past her followed by other 4 less than a meter apart. (00:09:10)
Ruri chan 'Kôkai nisshi' - S1-E5
Factual error: The altar Yurika is doing a ceremony at contains Cyrillic writing that appears to be gibberish mixed with proper Latin words. (00:09:50)
Ruri chan 'Kôkai nisshi' - S1-E5
Continuity mistake: Right after the mid-episode intermission the head cook dismisses the kitchen crew; the leftmost one in the second row has a ponytail swinging to her left, but it's centered in the reverse shot. (00:11:45)
