Plot hole: Akito's attack is point blank, on a ship part of a fleet with Distortion Field activated (basically, they have shields, like the good guys' robots). The explosion he causes is according to Ruri's damage report big enough that it managed to vaporize 80% of the ships they were facing, but his Aestivalis and the other 3 right floating nearby make out of it literally without a scratch. Other mistake: Akito falls into a pitfall forming under his feet. The ground near Megumi Reinard crumbles and she falls as well a couple seconds later. In the underground cave Megumi is exactly on top of Akito, as if all the soil and rocks she was standing on vaporized clean in midair. (00:13:30)

Continuity mistake: The hooded figure brings Akito and Megumi inside the refugees shelter. Megumi is looking around with a hand in front of her mouth, instantly lowered as the masked Iriz speaks. (00:14:05)

Audio problem: In front of the vending machine, Hikaru does a little prank with her eyes 'bugging out'. The English dub is fine, but the original Japanese audio has her pronounce an additional line during close-up when her lips are not moving and the mouth is shut. (00:05:40)
