Other mistake: If the cartel's money to be cleaned is from selling drugs then why is it all brand spanking new? In season one he gets it delivered in a van in boxes. When they open them the money is new bills, still in bank wrappers. Why would people buying drugs go to the trouble to going to the bank to get new bills?
Continuity mistake: Right before Wendy sends the email that her husband is dead, a can of shaving cream can be seen on the right side of the sink. After hearing her husband come into the hotel, she knocks over the can of shaving cream, which is now on the left side. (00:47:05)
Continuity mistake: Marty pulls his boat into a cove where a church sermon is happening. When we first see the sermon the sun is coming from the right. In the next scene the sun is behind Marty. It switches again when he pulls into the cove.
Other mistake: When Marty deposits $906,352.17 into his account, it shows a previous balance of $15,736.42. After the deposit, it shows $932,088.59, but that is incorrect. It should show $922,088.59.
Kaleidoscope - S1-E8
Continuity mistake: Roy and Scotty pull up in their truck just as Roy's mom Barb is carrying a coffee table down concrete stairs from a house (not sure if it's Barb's house). After Roy and Scotty load it in their truck and ready to drive off, Barb asks them to "hang on" for a minute. Barb appears to jog a few paces on the sidewalk before running up the concrete stairs. When she reaches step five or six, she collapses. The next scene shows Roy racing to help Barb, but now she's on the sidewalk just starting step one. (00:20:10)
Revealing mistake: Mason brings his unnamed son to the lake and acts like he is going to drown him. The baby is noticeably a doll in all but the scene where he kisses it. It is obvious from the way he is carrying it as well as the lack of movement.
Continuity mistake: When Mason throws the money at Marty's car, some bills are on the roof. Later there're no bills on the roof, but then in the next shot of the roof, there's a bill back on it.
Continuity mistake: Upon breaking in to the funeral home, Ruth and her father spray paint over the cameras. However they miss one when the open up the casket room, right above the right corner of the door. After searching the caskets, the camera mysteriously vanishes. (00:51:52 - 00:53:00)
Character mistake: The X-ray shown when Ruth see Cade's body is placed in the wrong way. It should have been a mirror image. (00:57:56 - 00:59:06)
Continuity mistake: Wendy takes her brother Ben to Knoxsville in a black car, and when she returns it's in the usual grey car.
Suggested correction: This is explained at 26:49 into Season 3 Episode 9 (Netflix Timestamp). Marty is on the phone while escorting Ben to the "escape boat," and says the line: "Yeah, I understand. Just rent a car and meet us at mile marker 18." Wendy arrives in the Chrysler van. Later in the episode, when she pulls into the house, she is in the family van. It is presumed that she left the family van at the rental facility and picked it up upon return.
Suggested correction: She is never seen in a black car. The whole time during episode 9, they're in the regular grey minivan. There may be times when it's dark outside and a dark reflection is on the car, but it's never a black car.
No. The wheels are different on the car she takes Ben away in.
Then submit a screen shot because I saw no difference, even though different wheels isn't the same as saying it's a black car.
It's true! They greyish car has a plate in front of the car. The darker one did not have a plate.
Not only are they in a black minivan, but it actually appears to be a Dodge Caravan and is definitely not a Honda Odyssey. The fact that it is a rental makes sense. I had wondered whether it was a rental myself, and I guess I had missed the line where Marty tells her to rent a vehicle. The difference in the two vehicles is obvious to a car person like myself, but I'm sure some people don't notice.
Factual error: Ruth applies to have her criminal record expunged. She meets with the judge privately to discuss the matter. This is an ex parte meeting and would not be allowed. The state's attorney needs to be present for this meeting. The judge also says she will check up on Ruth to make sure she is living right, again without any input from the state. It should be the state's attorney checking up on Ruth, not the judge.
Let the Great World Spin - S4-E2
Visible crew/equipment: Marty visits the FBI agent at her home. The camera starts far away from them in another room, and pushes in through the door frame. On the left side of the frame, the camera's shadow becomes very obvious as the shot moves.
Plot hole: Ruth enters Darlene's home at night, crossing over the crime scene tape. She proceeds to the barn where she finds all of Darlene's heroin packed up neatly. This is factually impossible. Once the police had secured the crime scene in the house, they would have searched the entire property and would have discovered and seized the heroin at that time. (00:54:38 - 00:56:09)
Factual error: The judge rules in favor of Wendy's father despite not hearing any testimony from his primary witness, who fails to appear. The judge states on the record that he is making this ruling because of the Byrdes' "reputation" rather than any testimony. This is absolutely ludicrous. A judge is not allowed to make a ruling on a child custody case based entirely on his opinion of the litigants, which he doesn't even elaborate upon, rather than any evidence or testimony before him.
