Pilot - S1-E1

Factual error: When Riggs and Murtaugh go to investigate the scene where the body of Ramon Alvarez is discovered Scorsese states that Alvarez's dog tags say "SEAL" on them. His dog tags would not say that he is a SEAL on them. The information listed on dog tags is as follows: Name, Social Security Number, Blood Type, Service Branch, and Religious Preference. There is no way to tell what a given service member's MOS (job) from his or her dog tags. (00:14:00)

Suggested correction: Scorsese never mentions the dog tags. Riggs just happens to be looking at them while Scorsese is giving them the information they've already gathered about Alvarez, including the time he served from.

Pilot - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: In the chase on the grand prix circuit, the weather continually changes from wet to dry and back again.

Surf N Turf - S1-E2

Other mistake: When Riggs calls the arms dealer's phone (agent Hirsch), Hirsch doesn't answer the phone, silencing the call and putting the phone in his pocket, but Riggs leaps to action and says "it was Hirsch's voice on the phone!" Realizing that the arms dealer and Hirsch are the same person but no-one answered the phone. (00:32:00)

Suggested correction: When Hirsch ignored the call, it would have gone to his voicemail. That was the voice Riggs would have heard on the phone.

There Goes the Neighborhood - S1-E4

Continuity mistake: At the barber shop Murtaugh's son takes his headphones out to listen to his dad while he's talking to him. Right after there is a quick camera angle change and you can see in the mirror his son has his left headphone back in his ear. The headphone appears and disappears throughout the scene. (00:00:15 - 00:01:00)

Spilt Milk - S1-E5

Factual error: In Chad Jackson's resume, it says he was assigned to "SEAL Team Delta." Navy SEAL teams are ranked by number (ex. SEAL Team 3, 10, etc.), there is no such unit called SEAL Team Delta.

Matdan97

As Good as It Getz - S1-E15

Continuity mistake: When Riggs and Palmer fall through the roof and onto the bed, the debris under them changes. In the final shot there's a huge piece of the ceiling in between and under them that wasn't in the previous shots.

Bishop73

As Good as It Getz - S1-E15

Continuity mistake: When Riggs is talking to Agent Palmer about being hungry, he's holding one red folder. When he asks if she was going to eat, he sets the folder down. In the next shot, he's holding a folder again.

Commencement - S1-E18

Continuity mistake: When Riggs gets loose and frees Murtaugh, Murtaugh has no shoes on and is running after Gideon barefoot. Then the next scene shows Murtaugh walking in the hallway with his shoes on. The next frame that Murtaugh is in shows him again shoeless and hoping that it is water that he is running in. (00:37:12)

Misterjds

Flight Risk - S2-E4

Factual error: Riggs and Murtaugh are told that Cooper's self defence argument (that Woodcock's pistol fired the fatal shot as they fought) holds up because Cooper's gun is 9mm, whereas the slug pulled from the body was a .358. There is no such thing as a handgun chambered in .358. The only .358 caliber that exists is .358 Winchester, which is a rifle round. (00:19:55)

03Outlaw

Flight Risk - S2-E4

Continuity mistake: When Riggs is being questioned about his rifle, there's a shot of him from behind (after he puts his wallet away) where we see his holding his cup up with his right hand. In the next shot, his right hand is down and the cup is out of sight.

Bishop73

Let It Ride - S2-E5

Continuity mistake: In a flashback Riggs is seen running away from his father who is holding a belt. In the next shot the father is no longer holding a belt and is only just taking it off. (00:22:05)

Diggin' Up Dirt - S2-E12

Continuity mistake: When Riggs is hanging from the tree, his hands are tied behind his back. When he falls and lands on his back, his hands are still behind his back. In the next shot of him, his hands are now tied in front of his body, even though he didn't have time to do anything to get his hands there.

Bishop73

Double Shot of Baileys - S2-E14

Continuity mistake: Riggs' hands are tied from behind when in Jess' house. When the gunman aims at Riggs to shoot, Riggs rolls across the floor then has his hands tied in front, attacking the gunman.

Family Ties - S2-E21

Continuity mistake: When Leo is in the office with Roger and hands him the thing from the gift basket, his right elbow is on the desk. When Roger knocks it out of his hand, his elbow is off the table, then back on.

Bishop73

In the Same Boat - S3-E1

Continuity mistake: When Roger comes home (after seeing Garrett's video), he has nothing in his hands or on his shirt. In one shot of him (when Trish says "I'm sorry"), his sunglasses are suddenly hanging on his shirt collar. (00:28:10)

Bishop73

A Whole Lotto Trouble - S3-E3

Continuity mistake: When Roger is playing chess with his father-in-law, the pieces on the board keep changing in each shot, and too drastically to be moves done off screen. For example, at first Roger's left rook is not on its starting position but in other shots it is.

Bishop73

Dial M for Murtaugh - S3-E11

Continuity mistake: When the family is in the room, the bookmark in the Tom Clancy book is sticking out when Riana is holding it and even when Trish hands it to Roger, but when we see him with it, the bookmark is barely visible and not sticking out.

Bishop73

Coyote Ugly - S3-E13

Continuity mistake: When Cole is on the roof of the vehicle, both front windows are rolled down. However in some shots you see the passenger side window is rolled up. It's darkly tinted so it's obvious.

Bishop73

Flight Risk - S2-E4

Trivia: In this episode, Dan Cooper hijacks and robs the passengers, then jumps out of the plane mid-flight with over $1 million of goods. In 1971, a man identifying himself as "Dan Cooper" (later misidentified by the media as "D.B. Cooper", which ended up being the more popularised epithet) hijacked a plane and jumped out of the plane in mid-flight with over $200K (equivalent to over $1 million in 2017).
