Episode #2.7 - S2-E7
Continuity mistake: When Fidel and Dwayne arrive at the place where Camille and Richard are hiding for the hurricane, they can open the doors without a problem, whereas Camille and Richard had taken great care of locking the doors from the inside.
Episode #2.7 - S2-E7
Plot hole: The professor at the beginning of the episode says;"I want the instruments photographed as back-up", which makes total sense. And in fact we do see pictures of exactly that...except one. The one photo that will prove to be fatal for the murderer is a picture not of the instruments, but of the weather station, which would be absolutely useless as backup for being too distant. But had it been a close-up, the 'shadow' gimmick that solves the case would have not happened.
Episode #2.7 - S2-E7
Continuity mistake: During the denouement, Richard passes the book to the dean - and she gets it from his hand twice in different shots. (00:45:00)
Episode #2.7 - S2-E7
Plot hole: It is established that there are 4 stations in the N, S, E, W parts of the island and it takes roughly the same amount of time to get to any of them from the central part of the island where the university is. When we see a map of the fictional Saint Marie as DI Richard Poole explains how he is going to look for the camera, the map shows an island with a distance W to E about double the the distance from N to S, making impossible that one could get by car to places with such different distance from the center in equal amounts of time. (00:30:50)

Continuity mistake: Camille and Richard visit again professor King, finding dean Judy Hearst in there. When Richard says "And that's exactly what we wanted to talk to you about" the dean lowers her left hand, moving it away from her organizer. In the next shot, the same hand is back on top of it. (00:21:10)
Episode #2.7 - S2-E7
Continuity mistake: The protagonists break inside the the SMDA building. Richard is checking out a folder placed in front of a pile of papers. He turns towards Camille because of a sound she makes, and in this new shot his hands are in the pile, not the folder. (00:20:05)
Episode #2.7 - S2-E7
Continuity mistake: Richard takes the flyer off the book, closes it and hands it to Camille. In the next shot though the book is open. Even more evident, a few seconds later Camille later mentions a local politician; Richard lowers the book, but it's up again for the close-up. (00:17:30)
Episode #2.7 - S2-E7
Continuity mistake: When Richard notes that one hour elapsed, everyone's position is the same as the camera angle switches, except Dwayne who first is checking his watch, then he's just pointing at 'Chief' Poole. (00:14:35)
Episode #2.7 - S2-E7
Continuity mistake: After the conversation with the professor, Richard gives a rather lackluster pep talk to Fidel saying it's "possible" that he will pass the exam. During this small scene, Dwayne's movement in the background change inconsistently between shots as he is scribbling and putting away his pad multiple times. (00:10:50)
Episode #2.7 - S2-E7
Continuity mistake: Professor King's book changes position in Richard's hand several times between shots - it also goes from open to closed when Richard boasts about his 'demon proof-reader' skills. (00:10:10)
Episode #2.7 - S2-E7
Other mistake: Richard does not possess psychic powers, but he grabs from the shelf the one book that is a key plot point; the book is amongst many others in a bookcase full of texts. It does not stick out literally or figuratively in any way and most importantly, it does not feature the professor's name on the spine - that is probably where the issue lies; manufacturing the prop they did not leave any clue about the professor that Richard could have picked up - the name is merely on the front and back. (00:09:50)
Episode #2.7 - S2-E7
Continuity mistake: DS Camille Bordey's hand is in the foreground holding the pen when Leo Downs' voice says that he could "blow the whole department apart", but she lowered that hand in the previous shot, and in the next it is properly down. (00:06:30)
Episode #2.7 - S2-E7
Continuity mistake: When the dean plays Leo Downs' message for Camille, in close-up her hand is on the organizer; it was the whole sleeve in the previous angle. Not just that; the flyer underneath the rubber band of the file board is in a different position. (00:06:25)
Episode #2.7 - S2-E7
Continuity mistake: Dwayne walks towards Poole and Bordey introducing Judy Hearst, the dean. She removes her bag from her shoulder and puts it on the lawn twice in two shots about 5 seconds apart. (00:04:40)
Episode #2.7 - S2-E7
Continuity mistake: Inspecting the crime scene, after Richard conjectures foul play Camille asks "So we've found the body before it was intended to be found?" She shrugs and holds her hands elbow-high, but they are thigh-high at the cut. (00:04:20)
Episode #2.7 - S2-E7
Continuity mistake: When Leo asks Damon to swap, he lowers the clipboard he was holding rather high all of a sudden, and in the next shot it's high again. (00:00:45)
Episode #2.7 - S2-E7
Revealing mistake: When we see the killer deal the fatal strike, the pipe misses a mile to the left. (00:48:00)
Episode #2.7 - S2-E7
Other mistake: The show, shot in Guadeloupe, part of France, is set in the fictional island of Saint Marie, British overseas territory, with English as official language. When we see the development company sign a big cheque to the local university, it is to the order of University of Guadeloupe (also non-existent, since the university in Guadeloupe would have been in 2012 the University of the French West Indies and Guiana). Incidentally, the document that supposedly incriminating picture (taken at an amazingly public event including giant cardboard fake cheque) is from, is a form about real estate in Nevada. (00:20:50)
Answer: Most likely they had only tropical exotic drinks, he wanted an old fashioned English beer.
