Mike's Pole - S2-E11
Corrected entry: When the youngest daughter Eve gets her ROTC uniform it is Army, but she says she wants to be the first female Marine sniper.
Continuity mistake: Sometimes Ed's fireplace in his office is on the right wall but then other times it's on the left. Plus Ed and Mikes' offices switch sides mid series. Ed's office is stage right in early years, Mike's is stage right in later years.
Mandy: Will you go pick up Travis, please?
Mike: You can pick him up.
Mandy: Really?
Mike: Yeah, if you can just figure out how to change a tire.
[Mandy starts to leave.]
Mike: So sad.
Mandy: I'm living with Lord Voldemort!
Mike: I don't know who that is, but he sounds like a very caring father.
Helen Potts - S4-E12
Trivia: In this episode, Patricia Richardson guest stars as Helen Potts. She played Tim Allen's wife on "Home Improvement", and there are plenty of inside jokes to reference "Home Improvement." Then, at the end, Jonathan Taylor Thomas appears as Helen's son, Randy and another joke ensues about how he looks familiar. Jonathan Taylor Thomas played Randy on "Home Improvement" and had already appeared several times in "Last Man Standing" playing John Baker, whom Mike already knows.
Question: Why did the young girl not welcome her Dad home when he came out of the box?
Answer: I'm not sure what little girl the question is asking about. But, the scene in question was a real life surprise to the family of Petty Officer 1st Class Raymond McKnight. It was his wife and two sons that were there. His son was already excited about being on TV and then just shocked at seeing his Dad and didn't know how to react. But then he is hugging and welcoming him home.

Correction: High School JROTC units are "sponsored" by one service-Navy/Marine Corps, Air Force, or Army. Her particular school's program was apparently Army affiliated. My own son's JROTC unit was Navy/USMC and he ended up going Army.
