Continuity mistake: When Kristin asks why Mike was mean to Ryan he is holding a Santa. The shot changes he is now holding a candy cane.
Continuity mistake: Mike takes a box of waffles out of the freezer. He takes a waffle out and puts it in the toaster. The shot changes he is no longer holding the box.
Continuity mistake: When Vanessa and Mike are talking about Vanessa dropping out of the race, there is some pasta and rice on the counter. The rice keeps switching from being in front of the pasta to behind the pasta.
Other mistake: As Ed and Kyle are leaving Ed's office, Ed reaches over and puts his hand on the light switch to turn off the lights. The lights go off, Ed moves his hand away, but the position of the switch never changes. (00:11:10)
Continuity mistake: When Vanessa and Mike are singing and Eve comes there is a open newspaper in front of Mike. After Eve tells them to stop the newspaper is no longer open.
Continuity mistake: After Mike gives Ed the present Ed puts the bag on the table lying down. When Mike leaves the bag is standing up.
Continuity mistake: Mandy puts three bags on the counter. The two white bags change position a couple of times throughout the scene.
Continuity mistake: Vanessa sits at the table and has her hands on a glass of orange juice. The shot changes and she is now eating chips. In another shot she is suddenly holding a sandwich. The amount of orange juice also keeps changing. And the plate in front of Mike keeps changing position.
Continuity mistake: When Jim gets up to leave after being denied a loan, he doesn't open the door before turning around when Mike talks about co-signing. When it cuts to Jim as he says "forget it", the door is now opened, but closed the next time we see it.
Continuity mistake: The clip of Mandy meeting Kim K the news shows is different than what we originally saw. For example, originally Mandy yells "I'm going to give Kim Kardashian a hug. I rule!" But on the news it's "I'm going to give Kim Kardashian a hug, you guys."
Continuity mistake: In the opening scene, Mike is cooking bacon on a gas stove. He is talking to Vanessa and is seen to shut off the gas under the frying pan. The scene cuts to Vanessa and then back to Mike. The gas under the pan is suddenly back on.
Continuity mistake: The scarf in Mandy's hands instantly disappears as she shows Vanessa her latest clothing design.
Continuity mistake: The catalog in Mike's hand instantly disappears from his left hand and ends up on Boyd's bed.
Continuity mistake: The paper pumpkin decoration instantly moves from Ed's right to his left while tells the employee to go back to the loading dock.
Continuity mistake: In season 2 episode 6 Boyd is riding a bike in the backyard, but in this episode he is learning to ride one and falls and scrapes his knee.
Continuity mistake: While Kyle and Mike speak in Kyle's late mother's trailer, Mike's hands instantly switch from being on his hips to clasped behind his back.

Other mistake: When Ed picks up the pen, the clothes off picture is supposedly shown when the button on the pen is facing towards the ceiling, but when Kyle picks it up, the clothes off picture is when the button is facing towards the carpet.
Other mistake: Whenever Mike is shown facetiming with Mandy, Chuck and other characters, the image on the screen in which he appears remains perfectly still, showing that his interactions were filmed with a steadicam and not his smart phone.
Revealing mistake: There are numerous episodes where Mike is recording a video for Outdoor Man with his webcam, and a status bar is advancing towards the end of the video, indicating that the live recordings were added to the video stream in post production and synced up to the original performance.
Continuity mistake: About halfway through the show, Vanessa repeatedly closes the cap on the thermos, 7-8 times.
