Continuity mistake: On Jaden's first turn, there are five cards in his left hand. In the close-up shot, Elemental Hero Sparkman is the fifth card on the right-hand side. Continuity mistake: When Zane is speaking with his manager in the cafe, there are two sugar shakers on the table in front of them. The shaker in front of the manager is closer to the window than the one in front of Zane. A couple seconds later, the shaker is front of Zane is now closer to the window than the one in front of the manager. (00:03:28)

Continuity mistake: When Chazz throws Jaden the Grim Reaper card, once he catches it, he has his middle finger placed along the side. In a close-up of the card, his finger cannot be seen along the side of it. (00:01:54)
