Death at Victoria Dock - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: When Miss Fisher tends to the fatal wound of the victim, she slips one glove off, using it to plug the hole in his chest. She suddenly then has both gloves off. Even assuming the montage implies a lengthier amount of time elapsed, when she takes the box from the dying guy her hand is all bloodied up, but it shows much cleaner in the following shot. Death at Victoria Dock - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: As Miss Fisher gulps down her stiff drink thanking Butler the butler, she holds her hand in her lap all bent and twisted in a quirky claw shape. There was no indication of it in the previous shot, where she was simply rubbing her thumb. (00:06:35)
Death at Victoria Dock - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: When Constable Collins is showing Inspector Robinson the sketched tattoo, he is holding the notebook differently in the reverse shot (the close-up has his index to the far corner). (00:10:00)
Death at Victoria Dock - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: As they are waiting for the events to unfold at the bank in Church street, Miss Fisher tells the constable to try and look natural. The poor nervous chap holds his hand on the lapel of the coat at a different height between shots. (00:48:30)
Death at Victoria Dock - S1-E4
Revealing mistake: When Miss Fisher reads the newspaper just before the final reveal, it's Friday 26 August 1928's newspaper. Remarkable, considering 6/26/1928 was a Sunday. It's not the only peculiar trait of that first page though, as in the text you can read the name "Casey Anthony" multiple times together with "not guilty" in bold text etc., all parts of a tragic story happening over 80 years after this episode. Death at Victoria Dock - S1-E4
Revealing mistake: At the end of the episode, Miss Fisher talks to Mr. Waddington about her compensation of choice in front of a matte paint of the background. (00:54:20)
Death at Victoria Dock - S1-E4
Character mistake: Fisher refers to some characters as speaking "a Slavic language." The characters are Latvian anarchists. Lettish (aka Latvian) is a Baltic language, not Slavic.
Death at Victoria Dock - S1-E4
Plot hole: The anarchists were alarmed enough by Nina running away to abandon their safehouse in a hurry, but still go through with their plan to rob the bank as planned - hard to see why, since it was a generic bank robbery and nothing about it seemed time sensitive - and look totally dumbfounded by Peter's presence or the fact that it could all be a trap, when it's obvious their plan had been exposed - it's why they left, after all.
Answer: Louisa's watch was broken during the struggle to get away from her attacker.
