Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries

Cocaine Blues - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: The victim in the close-up is dead with his hand under the bathroom table. But he was seen in the previous shot exhaling his last breath in front of it, with no contact at all with the wooden leg. And as crude as the chalk outline on the bathroom floor is, it is more consistent with that sort of distance and position. (00:00:50 - 00:06:50)

Cocaine Blues - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: Early on, Miss Fisher and Doctor McMillan are strolling among the dockers in the background. But Miss Fisher hasn't disembarked the ship yet, that happens in the following scene. (00:01:45)

Cocaine Blues - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: When Miss Fisher examines the bloodied letter, she holds it in her close-up with her index finger touching the side, while it's just hovering in the reverse shots. The height is inconsistent as well. (00:19:00)

Cocaine Blues - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: When the music starts, Miss Fisher puts her glass down, behind Aunt Prudence to go dance with Sasha. Throughout the whole scene she had been the only one with a red drink, but this time she has a yellow drink like everyone else. (00:23:30)

The Green Mill Murder - S1-E3

Continuity mistake: In the scene with the chicken on the kitchen table, the chicken stands in different spots in the different shots. Also, it took a dump on the newspaper in between the first shot and the rest. (00:13:55)

The Green Mill Murder - S1-E3

Continuity mistake: When the two blokes who help Miss Fisher are playing darts, the close-up shows the dart sticking really close to the left line of the segment. When Miss Fisher is nearly impaled by Bert's off-target projectile, the dart on the board is better centered. (00:15:25)

The Green Mill Murder - S1-E3

Continuity mistake: During the interrogation of Mr. Rogers, the distance between the trumpet and the mute constantly changes between shots. And when he says "So what? Doesn't prove a thing!", Miss Fisher is holding her hand on top of the mute, instead of having her arms folded. (00:49:40 - 00:51:00)

Death at Victoria Dock - S1-E4

Continuity mistake: When Miss Fisher tends to the fatal wound of the victim, she slips one glove off, using it to plug the hole in his chest. She suddenly then has both gloves off. Even assuming the montage implies a lengthier amount of time elapsed, when she takes the box from the dying guy her hand is all bloodied up, but it shows much cleaner in the following shot. Death at Victoria Dock - S1-E4

Continuity mistake: As Miss Fisher gulps down her stiff drink thanking Butler the butler, she holds her hand in her lap all bent and twisted in a quirky claw shape. There was no indication of it in the previous shot, where she was simply rubbing her thumb. (00:06:35)

Death at Victoria Dock - S1-E4

Continuity mistake: As they are waiting for the events to unfold at the bank in Church street, Miss Fisher tells the constable to try and look natural. The poor nervous chap holds his hand on the lapel of the coat at a different height between shots. (00:48:30)

Raisins and Almonds - S1-E5

Other mistake: Miss Fisher takes a handwritten phrase in "ancient" Hebrew to one of the main characters to be translated. The writing is actually in cursive Hebrew and is properly written. While performing the translation however, the "expert" translator holds the writing upside down. He also follows the writing with his finger from left to right. Hebrew is written from right to left.
