Factual error: Parts of this season take place in St. Cloud, Minnesota. The problem is, the St. Cloud they portray has significant skyscrapers. St. Cloud is a town of about 80,000 people with no large skyscrapers.

Factual error: The scene which supposedly takes place in Fargo was obviously not filmed there. Fargo does not have any skyscrapers that tall.

Factual error: Rhianna is watching a live feed of a man's office via webcam. We see a closeup of the screen. At the top it shows the filename being a ".jpeg." Jpegs are still image files, not movies, let alone live streams.

Factual error: When McClane and Ferrell are stuck in the intersection with the helicopter shooting them, the bad guys pull up the scene from a camera on the building. Clearly the camera is stationary, so why is the shot on the computer moving?

Factual error: When the hackers start hacking the traffic cameras there are several shots of vehicles crashing on the computer screen. These shots are supposedly coming from traffic cameras but some contain complex movements such as a crane shot that was obviously done by a real camera.

Factual error: While it's done for furthering the plot, climbing a live AM radio tower would result in RF burns and would possibly be fatal. The man who cuts the transmission cable would be in a lot of pain or dead doing that in real life.

Factual error: There would not be that many leaves still on trees in December in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The snow looks very fake and sprayed on in some shots.

Factual error: Right as Michael Landon boards the train off his horse you can see a radio tower in the background. Radio hadn't been invented when the show was set.

Factual error: This episode takes place almost entirely in the mountains. In Minnesota where the show is set, there are no mountains as tall as shown, particularly those that are snow-capped and rocky. The show was shot in California.

Factual error: At the Oro Array, the breakers are turned off because the power is cut. When the alien cuts the cables to the computers, sparks fly out as if there is power.

Factual error: On the island, Vanessa sees Venus in the sky and it looks very dark. The other shots show the sun is still up so the Venus sighting wouldn't look like that.

Factual error: In the tower, Leslie Barnes and a few men are talking about the Annex Skywalk, mentioning that it is a "VHF System." Barnes says the planes are so close it won't matter. VHF, or Very High Frequency, transmits far distances, hence why it is used by airports around the world. He should have said "UHF", which transmits shorter distances, as that would make more sense.

Factual error: The first shot of the church is a high up shot which pans down as the van enters the shot. High mountains can be seen in the background. The film is set in Washington D.C. (Note: the film was shot in the Denver area.).

Factual error: The episode takes place in Alabama, however when Sam and the old lady are in the cemetery before Al shows up, there are mountains in the background.
