The Simpsons (1989)

Bart After Dark - S8-E5

Corrected entry: In the scene where Belle (the owner of the burlesque house) tells Homer about Bart breaking a valuable statue, Belle calls it a gargoyle, however this is wrong. A gargoyle has water shooting out of its mouth, the statue Belle was talking about, is called a grotesque.

Correction: While technically correct, the term 'grotesque' is now practically unknown to the general public, who refer to all such statues as gargoyles. Only an expert in the field would realistically refer to them as a grotesque and Belle, as the owner of a burlesque house, is unlikely to qualify for that status.

The Simpsons (1989)

And Maggie Makes Three - S6-E13

Corrected entry: Another flashback mistake: When Homer remembers finding out that Marge was pregnant with Bart, he screams, tears out his hair and runs upstairs, past a picture of Lisa, aged 8, in the pink hat she wears to church. The mistake being that in this flashback neither Bart nor Lisa have been born. This mistake re-occurs seconds later: when Homer remembers finding out Marge was pregnant with Lisa, he runs upstairs past the same picture of Lisa aged 8.

Correction: Sure, like Homer's memory is going to be a paragon of perfection and accuracy. Character mistake, nothing more.
