Correction: It's not "in the next shot" that the door is closed; it's actually two shots later. When the white car gets dropped from the bridge, in the shot of the car landing on the ground, the door swings open and also begins to swing back the other way in the direction of being closed. Then the shot cuts away. It cuts to a close-up of the goons standing on the bridge looking down at the car. It's in the next shot, as the goons walk toward the white car, that the door is now closed. Within the time offscreen, Tsurugi could have closed the door while the goons were walking down to the car, so he can surprise attack them in this pretty amusing fight scene.
