Dracula (1992)
Continuity mistake: When Jonathan is dining in Dracula's castle, throughout the scene, his wine goblet keeps turning around on the table between shots: This can easily be seen from the two handles on the side, which keep pointing in different directions throughout the scene. (00:13:30)

Dracula (1992)
Continuity mistake: When Mina sits down on Lucy's bed to tell her the news about Jonathan, the pillow under Lucy's back and the one next to it on her left both have a distinctive pattern. In the next shot, both pillows have a different design. When Mina gets up, the first pillows are back, but when Lucy starts noticing the garlic, the second set has returned. Then, when she smashes the vase in anger, the first pillows are there, but when Lucy yells, "It's nothing but common garlic!", a third set of pillows appear behind her back, which change into different pillows two shots later. Dracula (1992)
Revealing mistake: When Jonathan closes the transactions in Dracula's castle, as Dracula's shadow is shown trying to strangle him, you can see Gary Oldman's real shadow on the right-hand side of the screen, standing in front of the shadow of Keanu Reeves. Also, in the final shot of the scene, as Dracula turns around and walks away, Dracula's shadow appears directly behind Jonathan, but Gary Oldman's own shadow can be seen on the right-hand side of the screen, moving in accord with the actor as he leaves the room. Dracula (1992)
Trivia: This movie is filled with scenes showing how the laws of nature do not work correctly when in the presence of a vampire, such as liquid dripping upward, shadows moving on their own accord, etc. A more subtle example is the scenes where Dracula is standing outside the large French doors to Lucy's bedroom: When other people walk through the doorway or stand in front of the glass doors, there is a considerable height difference between their heads and the door frame, but when Dracula is standing outside her bedroom, he almost reaches the top of the door frame. Dracula (1992)
Revealing mistake: When Mina and Dracula are at the restaurant, as Dracula says, "The most beautiful place in all creation", there is an extreme close-up of his eye. If you look at the left side of the purple iris, you can see the edges of Gary Oldman's contact lens. After Mina describes Transylvania's beauty, there is another close-up of Dracula's eye (this time with a different color) and you can once again see the edges of the contact lens on the left side of the iris. Dracula (1992)
Continuity mistake: As Dracula pours Jonathan wine in the castle, the arm-shaped, wall mounted torch on Jonathan's right is lit. A few shots later, as Dracula remarks, "That relationship was not entirely successful", the torch is unlit, but in the following wide shot where he draws the sword, the torch is burning again. In the shot where an angry Dracula says, "We Draculs have a right to be proud!", the torch is once again unlit. (00:14:15)

Dracula (1992)
Continuity mistake: When Dr. Seward and Van Helsing run into Lucy's bedroom, in the first shot, she is lying sprawled on her bed with her head resting against the pillows at the top of the mattress. In the next shot, she is lying in the middle of the bed, about a meter away from the pillows, with her legs going over the edge of the bed. (00:59:10)

Dracula (1992)
Continuity mistake: When Lucy tells Mina that she's accepted Arthur's marriage proposal, we see the garden pond at the bottom of the stairs leading up to Lucy's bedroom, which has a pedestal in the middle, topped with a tall, pointed pyramid sculpture. When Dracula enters Lucy's garden maze after the Demeter docks in London, the camera pans up the stairs and back again, and the pyramid has a different shape and is much smaller. When Lucy walks down the stairs in a trance, the large pyramid is back. (00:36:40 - 00:40:20)

Dracula (1992)
Continuity mistake: During the chase at the Borgo Pass, there are several shots of Dracula inside the wooden box, buried up to the neck in the earth of his homeland. However, when Dracula bursts out of the box outside the castle, the box falls apart completely, but hardly any earth falls out. (01:53:10 - 01:56:50)

Continuity mistake: When Van Helsing hypnotizes Mina, the candle he is holding changes throughout the scene: In the shots facing Van Helsing, long pieces of wax are sticking up from the top of the candle, while in the shots facing Mina, they're gone. (01:43:40)

Dracula (1992)
Revealing mistake: When Dracula is standing on the bed, transformed into a giant bat, the red wound from Jonathan's gunshot can be seen on his chest before Jonathan actually shoots him. It is first seen as he says, "Look what your god has done to me", and more in the next two shots of his bat form, before Jonathan fires his gun. (01:42:30)

Dracula (1992)
Continuity mistake: When Van Helsing is dining with Jonathan and Mina, as he asks Jonathan about the vampire women, he is holding his glass of ale up to his lips, but when the camera angle changes, his drinking glass appears at the bottom of the screen, back on the table. The camera cuts to another view of Van Helsing, where the glass is back in his hand as he downs his drink, emptying the glass; however, when Mina kisses Jonathan's cheek, the glass appears at the bottom of the screen and it is full again. Dracula (1992)
Continuity mistake: When Dracula drops Mina off the coach, and in the establishing shot of the scene where Van Helsing tasks Quincey with guarding Lucy, there is a giant fence outside Hillingham, Lucy's estate, with considerable distance between the fence and the estate. However, the opening wide shot of the scene where Dracula arrives in London shows that the building is facing the edge of a giant hill, with no fence outside (it is definitely the same side of the building, because the architecture is identical). Dracula (1992)
Factual error: When the Demeter comes to London, there is a wide shot of the ship docking, with Hillingham sitting on top of a hill overlooking the city of London - you can see Big Ben, the House of Parliament and Westminster Abbey. However, when Mina opens Jonathan's letter earlier in the film, there is a close-up of the envelope and the address of Hillingham Estate is not London: It states that Hillingham is situated in Faversham, Kent, a town located approximately 50 English miles away from London. Continuity mistake: When Vlad heads out into battle, he leaves through the chapel doors, which open onto a view of the sky at sunset and his army assembled outside the door. After the battle, he re-enters the chapel through the same doors, which now open into a much smaller space, terminating in a giant stone wall. (00:01:35 - 00:03:25)
