Continuity mistake: Tsubasa moves up the ditch with a diagonal strafing. He then answers Sanae's questions but suddenly on that same ditch, by his feet, Roberto Hongo is resting, sleeping. If he were sleeping on the other side of the road (as it seems when he gets up later) then the feet of the characters in that first shot were facing the wrong way. (00:08:50)

For instance, there's a beige box on top of the yellow and blue trunk next to Natsuko Ozora that is gone randomly in the aerial shots and when Yayoi is chasing them. (00:02:40)

Continuity mistake: Coach Mikami's sunglasses are pitch black during most scenes, but in his reaction shot to the news of Roberto Hongo's international retirement they are tan. (00:11:35)

Continuity mistake: When Roberto is looking at the team having a laugh with the still injured Ishizaki, there are 10 of them in the first shot with no keeper included and 10 including the keeper in the second. Both are wrong though, since Ryo has a substitute that is playing, so should be 11 players all along. Later in the episode when they run for the special training, it's 12 people, with Ishizaki still sidelined, but in the close-up of Roberto's foot you can see them run past, and it's 11 players. Continuity mistake: When Wakabayashi dives and catches the cross as it's still high in the air, Misaki and Tsubasa are to his right, then to his left. (00:05:15)

Continuity mistake: Tsubasa is athletic and quick and goes straight towards the goal starting from the kick-off spot at midfield, but a couple of opponents he dribbled try to tackle him again, and are incoherently shown as tackling from the front even if they came from behind. (00:07:00)
