Trivia: "Until Dawn" originally began development as a "Playstation Move" title for the Playstation 3. The original version of the game was going to be told from a first-person perspective and be focused more on puzzle solving than exploration. Eventually, development was moved to the Playstation 4, and the gameplay was altered drastically to drop the first-person aesthetic.

Trivia: The game only has an auto-save feature during checkpoints. The developers chose auto-saving over save points in order to force players to play out the game start-to-finish to see how the story plays out, as there are a multitude of possible endings based on player choices.
