Suggested correction: Margrete doesn't instantly go from one finger to two fingers on the trigger; it's over twenty seconds later. Your two pictures are not an accurate representation of the actual onscreen continuity. Margrete turns off the bathtub faucet. She walks through the bathroom shown in the top picture (01:50:06), and the camera then pans toward the window and pans back to Margrete. It then cuts to a shot of the parlor area, then cuts again to Margrete as she pulls the gun's slide back. The next shot is of Linda grabbing the scissors. Then, finally, in the next shot, Margrete hears Linda, so she turns her head with her two fingers on the trigger, shown in the bottom picture (01:50:32).
