The Hurt Locker (2008)

Trivia: With a worldwide gross of $12 million dollars, this is the lowest grossing Best Picture winner in Oscar history. Ironically, it's competitor, Avatar, is the highest grossing film in history.

Plot hole: When the doctor robot is projecting Sam's thoughts onto the wall, there is an image of Mikaela leaning on the motorcycle. Problem is, Sam wasn't there when that scene happened. He was talking to her on the phone, so he couldn't have seen what she was doing.

Plot hole: In the episode where Phil is zapped by the New-Ager making him act young, at one point, he zaps Keely with the New-Ager several times, and yet, she isn't affected at all.

Inner Child - S1-E15

Continuity mistake: When Olivia calls Broyles to ask him to move the child, the shot of Broyles answering the phone is a recycled shot from the episode "Safe". In addition, the shot is flipped, as can be seen by the fact that Broyles' watch is on his right wrist rather than his left.

Continuity mistake: When the Decepticon meteors are heading towards the aircraft carrier, we can see several aircraft carriers. When the meteors land, only one aircraft carrier is shown, and the surrounding boats disappear.

Clockstoppers (2002)

Continuity mistake: When Zak freezes Francesca when she sprays him with water, he presses the button on the watch with his right hand. We cut to a closeup of the watch and Zak's hand is nowhere to be seen. In the next shot, his hand is back on the watch.

Speed Racer (2008)

Continuity mistake: At the end of the scene where Speed and crew are ambushed by Cruncher Block in the mountains, Speed is pointing a gun at Cruncher Block. When Spritle says "Take him away, boys", we see Speed in the background lowering his gun, but, in the next shot, the gun is raised again.

Trivia: There is one point in the movie where you can see Lemony Snicket's face if you look closely. At the end of the movie, when he takes the paper out of the typewriter, the light bounces off the paper and onto his face, illuminating it briefly.

Friends (1994)

Chosen answer: It would hardly have mattered to Rachel who actually suggested writing the list. What did matter was that Ross participated in it and that he gave very unflattering reasons (such as she's spoiled and is just a waitress) about why he should not be with her. As for the others blaming Ross, they apparently feared Rachel's anger and/or felt guilty for being involved.

raywest

For one, some of the reasons, like the chubby ankle thing, was Joey's idea, so that could have been mentioned. And yeah, Ross participated, but his reasons were reworded by Chandler in a way that made them seem insulting. She was spoiled by her father when she was younger, which made her want to move to the city. By not adding the part about Ross and Julie being paleontologists, it looks like he is just plain insulting her lifestyle instead of giving genuine reasons.

Trivia: When Dr. Cockroach turns on the machine that's meant to shrink Susan, it makes the same noise as when you turn on an Apple computer.

The Incredibles (2004)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Bob and Helen are arguing after the rescue, when Helen says "Tell me you haven't been listening to police scanners again?", she puts her hand on her head. In the next shot, her arm is down by her side.

Sky High (2005)

Audio problem: At the end of the movie, when the sidekicks put their hands on the trophy, there are flashes in the background of the Pacifier going off, but there is no sound effect to accompany the blast.

The Island (2005)

Other mistake: Gandu 3 Echo has initials on his sleeve which read G3A. This would be fine if he was Gandu 3 Alpha, but he's not (although he should be - see the other entry relating to him). It should read G3E.

The Island (2005)

Question: At the beginning of the movie, when Lincoln wakes up, he removes something from his ID bracelet. What is this and what significance does it have?

Brad

Chosen answer: It appears to be some sort of cable - it can be seen leading to the bracelet in the shot from above the bed immediately prior to the one where Lincoln unplugs it. Exactly what it does is never revealed, but it seems likely to be some sort of monitoring system, keeping an eye on Lincoln's health through sensors in the bracelet.

The Fugitive (1993)

Question: How much time does this movie cover? I ask because when Sykes is being interrogated, he says he was questioned about Helen Kimble's murder a year ago. And Nichols says that Lentz died last summer, but Richard saw him at the fundraiser the same night his wife died. Is this a mistake or is there something I'm missing?

Brad

Chosen answer: Murder investigations are not, as a rule, speedy processes; it's quite plausible that a year could have passed between Helen Kimble's murder and her husband's conviction for the crime. The police have to gather evidence, question witnesses, put their case together and so forth. The main body of the film, from Kimble's escape onwards, probably only covers at most a few weeks, but Helen Kimble would undoubtedly have died some considerable time prior to that. The time periods stated in the film are quite reasonable.

Tailkinker

Answer: The timeline of events is Fundraiser, Emergency surgery, Helen killed, Richard arrested/held in jail for trial, Sykes questioned, Lentz dies in car crash, Richard convicted, Richard escapes. Lentz was alive when Helen was killed, he was killed while Richard was in prison which is why Richard doesn't realise until closer to the end that Lentz is dead. With Sykes saying he was interviewed about Helen's death over a year ago it leads us to believe the timeline of the movie is 12-18 months.

Answer: Sam Gerard and his team question the one armed man in his residence, they show him a picture of Richard Kimble and suspect him of murdering his wife. He replies, he went over this a year ago with the police.

The Core (2003)

Audio problem: When the man in the car on the Golden Gate Bridge gets crushed, you can hear him screaming, but his reflection in the rear-view mirror shows that his mouth is closed.
