Revealing mistake: During the sword fight in the blacksmith's shop, Will pulls a blade out of the fire. While fighting Jack, the heated blade sparks when their two swords clash. When Will blocks a hit from Jack, the impact is far BELOW the red/orange hot section of Will's sword, yet it sparks right at that spot. It also makes a kind of sound like electricity crackling. A heated blade would not make this noise, nor would it send out embers or sparks where it is not heated. Only the tip is heated, however the whole blade has an electrical current running through it, mentioned in another mistake. (00:24:15)

Continuity mistake: When Sam Neill opens the bag with the Raptor eggs in it, you can see the part of the bag that separates the eggs is completely intact, but in the next shot, that piece of the bag is all ripped and damaged. (01:19:55)

Continuity mistake: When Dr. Grant dives in the water after they're attacked, he has his watch on his right hand before he dives in, but in the rest of the shots of Sam Neill he has his watch on his left hand.

Continuity mistake: When Ray places the silver garbage can at the curb, he places it parallel to the other cans, but in the following shots they form a triangle. They also change position, such as the blue recycling can being directly in front of Tim's back car, yet when Robbie gets out the can is far enough away from the car to allow the back door to open freely. Continuity mistake: When the cannibal women throw fruit at Jack, the large papaya hits the pole's point and the end of the fruit actually smashes. However, in the next shot it slides across the pole with a perfect circular hole. (00:41:05)

Continuity mistake: After Jack gets slimed by the Kraken, he says "hello beastie" and makes his last stand. When he poses with his sword towards the creature he is clean again even though there was slime all over his clothes and hair in the previous shot. (02:09:30)

Continuity mistake: On the small sand spit, when Jack, Elizabeth and Barbossa meet with Will, Beckett, and Davy Jones, the leather cuff Jack wears on his right hand actually disappears and reappears twice during the meeting.

Super Grover ★

Revealing mistake: While tossing a baseball with his son, Ray calls him a "dick." If you look at his hand at that point, one can notice that his hand is closed in a fist, and he is not holding the baseball he is prepared to throw. (00:10:10)
