Corrected entry: Just after RoboCop has arrested Clarence, we see the police officers arguing. There is a shot of Lewis and the doors we see behind her are clear, no one is there or near them. A second later RoboCop and Clarence bust through the doors. How did they get into the hall that fast? (01:04:56)

Robocop (1987)
Corrected entry: When Clarence is in the street, he takes the RoboCop locater out of his pocket and we can see that it's already turned on. He still pushes a button on it though and it beeps to signal it's on. He must need even bigger glasses. (01:21:55)
Correction: He may not be turning it on, he may be activating a refresh mode or something like that to get the most recent position. The trucking company I work for has satellite location for the trucks, and sometimes I need to refresh the location doing something just like that to get the truck's current position.

Robocop (1987)
Corrected entry: After the criminal who was holding the woman hostage has been shot in the most unfortunate of places, the woman stands in awe looking at her dress. Just after she starts running to hug RoboCop, you can see that the hole in her dress has dropped down a couple of inches.
Correction: It's very likely the skirt would have been hiked up a bit, by her being held by the villain, or while leaning up against him. She looks down at her dress, then runs to Robocop, during which time, her movements would have allowed the dress to drop to its' proper length.

Robocop (1987)
Corrected entry: When Leon is dancing at the disco, he appears to be tapped in the back just before he turns around to see RoboCop behind him. Was this a way of signalling him when he should turn around? Probably, as the director, (who is also dancing around in this scene, see trivia section), wouldn't be able to tell him because of the loud music. (00:55:46)
Correction: As it was no recognizable crew-member, who tapped on Leon's shoulder/back, this cannot be called a movie mistake. Maybe another guest of this dubious disco saw the policemen coming and wanted to warn Leon?

Robocop (1987)
Corrected entry: Throughout the entire film, the OCP logo actually reads 'OPC'. It is completely different than in the second and third films.
Correction: Depends on how you look at it. The P is implied or maybe even "under" the C and could then be read third. It's hard to tell which of the outer circles makes the O. The C is the only letter that is defined in the logo, so you could have read it any which way. There have been logos and insignias that are difficult to interpret, but easily recognizable regardless. Company's change logos when needed, and it would make sense given the change in the old man's philosophy for Robocop2 and the new ownership in Robocop3.

Robocop (1987)
Corrected entry: Why is the gun used for the original ED-209 demonstration still in the boardroom at least 4 months after this happened? We know it is at least 4 months because at the beginning of the film the OCP chairman says, "In 6 months we begin construction of Delta City..." and when Clarence and Dick are talking in Dick's office, Dick says, "Delta City begins construction in 2 months..." (01:31:57)
Correction: It's in an open box on a pedestal for display purposes. There are other sculptures and decorations in the board room. Many boardrooms also display awards or gifts the company received. The gun has a silver/chrome finish (probably aluminum, though) which further makes it look more like an award or souvenir. Maybe it was presented to the company when it first bought the police force or any of the other divisions it is part of.

Robocop (1987)
Corrected entry: When RoboCop is in the police research room he takes out his spike and turns to put it into the computer. As he turns, the hand moves towards the camera in a completely impossible way, given that his arms are hinged like normal arms - try and replicate that move and you'd do yourself an injury. (00:51:13)
Correction: At no point in the movie are we told that Robo's arms are hinged like normal arms. I believe that a robot should be able to turn his hand completely around. If this is a mistake than the fact that Robo stores his gun in his leg is also a mistake because given that his legs are built like normal legs - try and replicate that and you'd do yourself an injury. Paul Verhoven acknowledged they intended to turn the arm the other way, but there's no reason it couldn't work both ways.

Robocop (1987)
Corrected entry: When RoboCop and ED-209 are fighting, they are outside Dick's office, on the same floor of the building. ED-209's grenades are firing away from Dick's office, towards RoboCop, but when Dick is on the phone we can see explosions from behind Dick. There is no way these can be ED-209's, so someone else must be trying to blow up the building. (01:09:37)
Correction: If you watch the battle closely you'll notice that the battle actually continues in a hallway next to Dick Jones' office and NOT in the hallway that leads to his office. When ED-209 fires a rocket at Robocop, he moves out of the way and the rocket explodes by a window. This is how Dick Jones was able to see the explosion.

Robocop (1987)
Corrected entry: When RoboCop is being tested at the shooting gallery, he twirls his gun. This is an action performed by Murphy when he was alive, and this is done purely to help Lewis realise that RoboCop is Murphy. But this action was not programmed into RoboCop, it was something done by Murphy himself, so shouldn't Bob Morton be worried that his machine was displaying behaviour it was not programmed with?
Correction: It is at all possible that Bob is too pleased with the way that Robocop is performing, and wouldn't care; or maybe he thinks that "improvements" have been made to Robocop's systems.

Robocop (1987)
Corrected entry: When RoboCop is being built we are told that the team were able to save the left arm. When this idea is scrapped and the replacement arm is brought in, we see a right arm. (00:26:04)
Correction: The arm they bring in is NOT a replacement for his left side. Murphy has just had his right arm and shoulder shot off, so it would make sense that the first prototype arm they build would be for his right side.

Correction: If you watch through the doors during the dialogue prior to Robocop entering, right outside is a hallway immediately to the left and right of the doors (a cop is seen leading a criminal from the right to the left very close to the door). The angle Robocop and Clarence enter is at a slight right, indicating he could've come from the right hallway right outside the door.
