Continuity mistake: When the Emperor addresses the Senate, as he says, "In order to ensure the security and continuing stability", his hands are held at waist level. As the next shot begins, his hands are higher up. Then, when the Senate applauds, he begins to raise his hands. As the following shot begins, his hands are held in a much lower position. Continuity mistake: In the first shot of the scene where Luke and Leia are born, Padmé's head reaches the top of the black area of the bed. Her head is seen in all the following shots, and her position doesn't change. But when she says, "Oh, Luke", her head has moved about 10 cm down from her previous position. (02:00:30)

Continuity mistake: When the Emperor addresses the Senate, as he begins to raise his hands, Mas Amedda (the blue alien next to the Emperor) is holding a staff. In the next shot, his hand has moved much further down on the staff. (01:32:55)
