Question: I don't understand the floor plan of the farm. In the first scene of interest, Whip is in the living room and Nicky, to his right, comes out of the bathroom, having had a shower. But, in the second scene of interest, Whip is drunk in the living room and Nicky, to his right, comes in through the front door - where before it was the bathroom.

Continuity mistake: When the plane has come out of flying upside down, Whip tells Departure that he sees a road and a field and he will try to land there. The field is brown until they crash-land, where it is now green.

Other mistake: Before the plane goes berserk, Whip decides to level off, to reach good air, but the altimeter keeps rising and the co-pilot is sitting at an angle, as he would if the were still climbing, but Whip is sitting in a level position, as he would if they were levelling off.

Character mistake: When Whip is in hospital, a nurse comes in with the others but what she does with the IV is all wrong. First: she tosses the empty IV bag onto the floor - you never do that - and then she proceeds to tug continually on the base of another IV bag, trying to get the IV line out of the bag - this she does not succeed in doing.

Continuity mistake: Ripley puts the knife in Winona Ryder's hand through her own palm. Initially there is blood on the knife and on Ripley's hand, plus a hole where the knife went through, but all three of these come and go during the next few minutes.

Other mistake: At the very end, in the helicopter, Gene Hackman is wearing a full helmet with a mouthpiece so he could hear and talk to the people in the helicopter and back at the ship; Owen Wilson is not wearing a helmet or a mouthpiece. There is no way Owen Wilson could hear what Gene Hackman is saying and vice versa. Battle helicopters are very noisy; you must have a helmet to hear and a mouthpiece in order to speak to be heard.
