Trivia: Daily Mail journalist Frederick McKenzie takes a photo of the Righteous Army, which is stated to be the only existing photo of Korea's freedom fighters. This photo is a direct recreation of a real-life photo of the Righteous Army, taken by Frederick McKenzie (who was a real-life war journalist) and is to date, the only existing photo of Korea's freedom fighters. Continuity mistake: Eugene finds the list of Righteous Army members, folds it up and puts it in his jacket pocket. In the shot of him putting the list in his pocket, both his left hand (holding onto the jacket) and his right hand (putting the list into his pocket) are level with each other. In the next shot, someone walks into the room and his hands don't change position. When the shot cuts back to Eugene, his left hand is much lower down than the right. (00:02:25)

Revealing mistake: When Ms. Haman is shot by the soldiers, the moment that the gunshot that hits her is heard, and she is shot, there is already a massive, thick blood stain on her dress from where she is bleeding from. No gunshot wound on the planet can create an amount of blood that massive or thick in an instant. The blood stain was likely applied to her dress before filming the shot. (01:17:52)

Continuity mistake: When the general shoots the elderly rebel, there is a huge blood stain left on his clothes where the left-hand side of his upper chest is located. When he collapses on the ground in the next shot, the blood stain has suddenly disappeared from his clothing. (01:13:23)

Continuity mistake: When Eugene is hiding inside the rickshaw after being rescued by the rebels, just as he says "She's injured", he is shown holding a gun, but his fingers are not placed on the magazine. Continuity mistake: Eugene is leaving the American legation in Japan by sitting on the back of a truck. In the shot of him sitting down, the bottom of his jacket can be seen going over the side of the truck (positioned behind him). Factual error: Eugene is given a return order from the President telling him to return to America. The name of the President listed on the order is Franklin D. Roosevelt, but he did not become President until 1933. In 1904, when the episode takes place, Theodore Roosevelt was the President. (01:08:16)

Plot hole: At the end of the previous episode, Ms. Haman is shot by a Japanese soldier. The shot is severe enough to make her collapse to the ground and fall unconscious. But in this episode, she appears perfectly fine without any sign of being shot, and without any injury in sight. (00:07:30)

Factual error: Joseph is given an American military funeral. The coffin, when placed in the ground, is shown with an American flag placed on top of it. Eugene sprinkles some soil over the coffin (with the flag on top of it), however burial flags are always removed prior to the actual burial, folded and then handed to the next of kin, so the soil he sprinkled would not be included in the actual burial. Continuity mistake: When Moore is speaking with Minister Allen about continuing the investigation into Joseph's death, just after he finishes saying "It was a missionary who died", Allen can be seen lowering his hands. The camera then changes angles to focus on Moore, and we can Allen lowering his hands a second time. (00:39:53)

Continuity mistake: When Hina is talking with the hotel employee, in the shot where the employee says "The rickshaws bumped into each other", she is holding a cigarette at a vertical angle. When the shot cuts, the cigarette is being held at an upright angle. Then when the shot cuts again, the cigarette is at a vertical angle again. (00:37:30)

In the shot where the worker walks up to them, the bottle shown towards the right side of the tray is in a position where the label is facing towards Hina.
