Continuity mistake: When the investigator begins confessing to the other police officers, one of them has him eat a handful of salt. After eating the salt, tiny salt grains can be seen on his lip, and can be seen on his lip for the following minute whilst he is trying to convince them he was the killer. There is a moment where he turns his head around to look out the back window. Continuity mistake: When the police investigator is speaking with the reporter after leaving the victim's apartment before getting in his car, just as he says "No undergarments were found in the apartment", the reporter is shown lowering the notepad in his left hand and has his right hand with a pen in it, placed on top of the car. In the next shot, the reporter's left hand and his notepad are suddenly placed on top of the car, writing in the notepad with his pen. The shot after that, only the right hand is placed on top of the car and the left hand is at his side. (00:25:48)

Revealing mistake: After the flashback where the police investigator tells Augusta he could murder her, and she asks him who'd solve the crime, it cuts to a man outside a store window looking into the store, whilst the investigator watches him from across the street. When this happens, two extras walk into the shot, and the extra wearing glasses can be seen looking at the camera when he walks by. (01:07:55)
