Continuity mistake: After Hassleberry says "That could mean Jaden's in trouble", he lowers his hand away from his face. His hand is toward the top of his chest, but when the shot cuts, his hand is lower down.(00:00:41)
Continuity mistake: When the students are queueing up outside the nurse's office, in the first shot of the hallway, a Ra Yellow student can be seen just outside the doorway, and behind him, an Obelisk Blue student can be seen. In the next shot, the Obelisk Blue student has been replaced with a Slifer Red student.(00:02:31)
Other mistake: When Elemental Hero Burstinatrix's attack points go from 1200 to 2000, the Life Point count is displayed, instead of the attack point count that is usually shown when monsters' points change.(00:11:49)
Continuity mistake: After Jaden destroys Crystal Beats Emerald Turtle and Cobalt Eagle, the two monsters reappear as crystals on the field. When the blue crystal appears, a shadow can be seen beneath it. When the shot cuts, the shadow is a lot smaller.(00:19:48)
Continuity mistake: When Aster is telling everyone that Jesse was chosen by his monsters, just as Blair says "Give me a break", a Ra Yellow student can be seen sitting next to Chazz. A couple seconds later, when Aster says "You don't believe me", the student sitting next to Chazz has disappeared.(00:10:03)
Continuity mistake: At the end of the previous episode, the four cloud tokens that appear on Adrian's field are summoned in attack mode (as shown by the ATK on the point display). At the start of this episode, the cloud tokens are now in defence mode.(00:02:01)
Continuity mistake: When Jaden is sitting on the Duel Academy ledge, just after Syrus and Hassleberry are first shown standing on the ground, Hassleberry comments that imaginary companions are a natural part of cognitive development. At this moment, he has his elbow against the large stone behind him. When the shot cuts, the position of his arm on the stone has changed.(00:05:08)
Continuity mistake: When Lucien activates his Slash Draw for the second time, he has his right hand placed over the front of the duel disk after inserting his card into the slot. In the next shot, his right hand is at his side.(00:15:15)
Other mistake: After Cyber End Dragon has been summoned and its attack points have doubled, the next shot of Zane shows Chimeratech Overdragon on his duel disk, instead of Cyber End Dragon.(00:16:10)
Continuity mistake: When Hassleberry and the two Slifer Red students are sitting outside the classroom, there are two piles of books around them. A couple seconds later, when Hassleberry and one of the Slifer Red students stand up after Crowler appears, the books are now in three piles.(00:06:11)
Continuity mistake: When Jaden and Chazz are about to duel, Jaden raises his deck and speaks to the Ojamas briefly. In this shot, his left thumb is placed against the corner of the cards. In the next shot, his left thumb is away from the corner.(00:13:37)
Continuity mistake: When Alexis first appears and watches the duel between Jasmine, Mindy and the MaƮtre D, her duel disk on her right arm. A couple seconds later, when she approaches them, the duel disk is on her left arm.(00:11:50 - 00:12:18)
Continuity mistake: When Jaden finds the Ojama cards whilst they are being held by two crabs, he places his fingers on the Ojama Yellow card. At first, his fingers are placed toward the middle of the card, but when the shot cuts, his fingers are toward the left hand side of the card.(00:11:05)
Other mistake: Just after Syrus has summoned Ambulance Rescueroid to the field, he uses the effect of Cyber Summon Blaster to inflict 300 points of damage to Hassleberry. At this point, Hassleberry should have 2900 life points (which then go down to 2600). But for a split-second, his life point count reads 4000, which then shifts to 2900 when his life points go down.(00:12:55)
Continuity mistake: When Jaden, Aster and Bastion run up to the simulation building at Kaibaland, once they stop running, Jaden and Aster's forearms are raised. In the next shot, their arms are suddenly lowered.(00:02:04)
Continuity mistake: After the duel, Chazz looks at his deck and the three Ojama cards can be seen at the bottom. Beneath the Ojama cards, the spell card Mystical Space Typhoon can be seen as the next card in his deck, and no other cards are shown. Two shots after, there is a closer shot of the cards, and Polymerization can be seen beneath Mystical Space Typhoon even though it wasn't visible in the earlier shot.(00:19:20)
Other mistake: After Hassleberry activates Survival Instinct and removes from play two dinosaur monsters, the attack points of Curry Fiend Roo go up by 600. However, on the point display that is shown when the points go up, the word DEF can be seen, indicating that it is in defence mode. Since it is the attack points of this card that are going up, and it is currently in attack mode, the word ATK should have been shown in the point display instead.(00:16:18)
Other mistake: Aster uses the effect of Magical Stone Excavation to send two cards to the graveyard to bring back one spell card. Polymerization is coming out of his graveyard, but a second later, it is now Misfortune that returned from the graveyard.(00:14:10)
Continuity mistake: When Syrus arrives in the duelling arena and sits next to Hassleberry and Bastion, two Slifer Red students can be seen sitting behind Chazz. A couple minutes later, after Atticus says he and Alexis are going to conquer the world, it cuts to Hassleberry saying "Man, bro bro's got some issues", and the two Slifer Red students behind Chazz have disappeared.(00:05:58 - 00:08:53)
Continuity mistake: Chazz and Hassleberry argue about the Slifer Red meals, and then Chazz grabs onto Hassleberry's hand when he tries to pour soy sauce in his bowl. While this happens, Syrus is holding a bowl low to the table and is holding chopsticks pointed forwards. When the shot cuts to Syrus, the bowl is lifted higher off the table and the chopsticks are pointed downwards.(00:00:48)
