Trivia: This film set the record for the highest opening weekend box office for an R-rated film, with $211 million domestically, shattering the $132 million record set by the first Deadpool film. This also gave it the 6th largest opening weekend in history, regardless of MPAA rating. It is also the second R-rated film, after Joker, to gross $1 billion globally, as well as the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time.

Trivia: SPOILER: Ryan Reynolds personally called Wesley Snipes to ask him to come back to play Blade. Snipes said prior to that phone call, he didn't think his return was possible. Snipes also said he had a better understanding of Reynolds' style of humor while making this film, which made for a more enjoyable experience as opposed to the tension it caused between the two while filming Blade: Trinity.

Trivia: SPOILER: When Deadpool is facing down the regenerated Deadpool Corp at the end, he tells them that the multiverse thing just isn't working and that they should take the loss. This is a reference to the films of the "Multiverse Saga" of the MCU generally not being as well received as the films from the preceding "Infinity Saga."

Trivia: The one-handed variant of Wolverine that Deadpool encounters in the alley is the version of Wolverine from the "Age of Apocalypse" storyline in the comics.

Trivia: Ben Affleck was spotted on set during filming, which led to speculation that he would be appearing as Daredevil, particularly as it was already confirmed by the studio that his ex-wife Jennifer Garner was returning as Elektra from the 2003 Daredevil film and its self-titled 2005 spin-off. It turns out Affleck was just visiting their children, as they still have a great co-parenting relationship.

Trivia: Halle Berry stirred up rumors that she would be appearing in this film, when, during its production, she posted an image of herself on social media sporting a Storm-like hairstyle. Berry told ComicBook.com that Ryan Reynolds' wife, Blake Lively, asked her if she was interested in appearing in the film, to which Berry affirmed, but that Reynolds himself never approached her. Berry's aforementioned hairstyle was seemingly for the Netflix film, "The Union."

Trivia: SPOILER: When Blade is about to blow up the entrance to Cassandra Nova's lair with a Punisher variant's AT4, Deadpool asks which Punisher it belonged to, stating there have been about "five of him." Blade responds by saying there's only one Blade, and there only ever will be, which causes Deadpool to look into the camera. This is a reference to Mahershala Ali being cast as Blade all the way back in 2019, with his planned film suffering numerous delays to the start of its production.

Trivia: Spoiler: Wesley Snipes appears in this film as Blade for the first time since 2004's Blade: Trinity, which co-starred Ryan Reynolds. Snipes reportedly had a contentious relationship with almost everyone while working on that film, although Snipes claims that he and Reynolds always liked each other. Snipes actually took to social media just a few days before this film was released to address secondhand statements about him by an acquaintance of Patton Oswalt, who also appeared in Blade: Trinity.

Trivia: SPOILER: Channing Tatum appears in this film as Gambit. Tatum was originally supposed to have a solo Gambit film in 2016 (the same year as the first Deadpool film). However, the film was continually delayed due to script rewrites, losing directors (including Rupert Wyatt, Doug Liman, and Gore Verbinski), and 20th Century Fox slashing its original $154 million budget after the financial failure of the 2015 Fantastic Four film. The film was ultimately canceled after Disney purchased Fox in 2019.

Trivia: According to director Shawn Levy, Kevin Feige would not allow overt drug use to be seen in this film. They decided to make fun of this mandate in the film by having Deadpool tell Blind Al that he's not allowed to do cocaine, and that Disney knows all of the slang terms used for the drug.

Trivia: Marvel Studios' president Kevin Feige initially advised Hugh Jackman not to return to the role of Wolverine, as he felt Logan was the perfect sendoff for his portrayal of the character.

Trivia: In the second trailer, Deadpool and Wolverine can be seen walking by a shop called "Liefeld's Just Feet." This is a jab at Deadpool co-creator Rob Liefeld, who is known for his inability to draw feet.
