Speed (1994)
Visible crew/equipment: When Jack's Bronco weaves across two lanes of traffic on the highway seconds before throwing it in park to catch up with the bus on foot, a camera can be seen, mounted in the Bronco's back seat. (00:34:15)

Speed (1994)
Continuity mistake: When Payne is about to board the subway train with Annie, he fires warning shots into the air and she ducks her head in response. But she repeats the same action in the next shot. (01:39:30)

Speed (1994)
Other mistake: The bus is supposed to maintain a speed higher than 50 mph to avoid disaster. But at one point where the baby carriage full of cans falls to the pavement and starts tumbling we can see part of the bus in the background, slowed to a crawl and certainly not traveling at least 50 mph. Visible crew/equipment: When Harry's colleague hands him a printout of Howard Payne's newspaper article, a boom mic reflection is visible on the window right above the bomb schematic diagram. (01:15:15)

Speed (1994)
Continuity mistake: When Payne is in a hideout watching the news unfold on numerous TV sets, he hears one reporter mention that a Los Angeles police officer (Jack) boarded the bus from a moving car. Right here we can see a reflection of Payne in the TV screen, which shows him placing his right hand over his mouth. In the following shot of Payne's face, where he says "Oh would that be you Jack?", his hand isn't anywhere near his mouth. (00:44:20)

Speed (1994)
Continuity mistake: When Jack is inspecting the bomb from a red trolley connected to a tow truck, a spool of cable unwinds and breaks free from its clamp, leaving Jack to fend for himself. Soon, McMahon and Norwood are riding alongside the bus trying to see if Jack is okay, but notice how the cable has reattached itself to the empty spool. (01:16:30 - 01:17:30)

Continuity mistake: When Tuneman realizes that he's about to crash into some barrels of water near the exit, he ducks for cover but, in the next shot, we see him sitting upright again. (00:40:00)

Speed (1994)
Continuity mistake: After telling Tuneman that he needs to board the moving bus, Jack pushes the Jaguar several car lengths forward so that he'll have ample distance to smash the door off. Meanwhile, we can see dotted white lines on the pavement between the Jaguar and the bus. But look over Jack's shoulder as he says "Are you insured?" and notice how two pairs of solid yellow lines have momentarily taken place of the white ones. (00:39:05)

Speed (1994)
Other mistake: Tuneman's Jaguar has 127 miles accumulated on the odometer (brand new, effectively). It comes into view once when Jack notices that the bus is quickly decelerating to a very dangerous speed. However when we see Jack grab a mobile phone, there is excessive wear and tear on the center console beneath it, to the point where complete deterioration has occurred in the high stress areas - characteristic of a much older vehicle. Hard to believe such a thing would happen to a vehicle of that caliber in such a short length of time. So it's possible that the odometer we see moments before isn't even from Tuneman's Jaguar at all. (00:38:20)

Speed (1994)
Continuity mistake: After the first bus explodes, Jack ducks for cover near his Bronco. Soon he looks over at the burning wreck and stands up - but notice that he's still crouched down in very next shot. (00:27:50)

Speed (1994)
Visible crew/equipment: When McMahon is giving Jack directions to the vacant 105 freeway, a well-dressed crew member wearing sunglasses and a big grin is visible sitting in the aisle of the bus. (00:49:50)

Speed (1994)
Continuity mistake: When Annie tries flagging down the bus, it changes position on the road. You can see how its right set of wheels instantly shifts from one side of the solid white line to the next between frames - at the point where it begins to decelerate. (00:31:05)

Speed (1994)
Continuity mistake: In the shot where Payne gives Jack permission to unload Sam from the bus, listen closely to the male news anchor on the immediate right. He reassures his viewing audience that the bus hasn't exploded, although a woman was caught in the blast and fell. This report airs roughly two minutes before the incident even takes place. Speed (1994)
Revealing mistake: When Jack is on the phone with Payne at LAX, a Suburban carrying Lieutenant McMahon and Norwood skids onscreen from between some orange cones. But tire tracks from earlier takes can be seen on the pavement. (01:10:00)
29th Dec 2010
Speed (1994)
Revealing mistake: When Payne opens the money bag in the overhead shot looking down into the bag, as the dye bomb explodes, Payne is wearing a transparent protective face shield, that is partially visible at the top left corner of the screen. Payne is not wearing a face shield in the previous or following consecutive shots. (01:42:35)
29th Dec 2010
Speed (1994)
Continuity mistake: As Annie shouts at Sam and suggests he drive over the line of cars up ahead, the bus passes by a couple of bridges - visible through the side window where she and Helen are seated. But no bridges were visible anywhere at all when Sam first noticed the endless line of gridlocked traffic just seconds before. (00:33:55)
29th Dec 2010
Speed (1994)
Continuity mistake: After Payne loses his head, Jack says "Yeah? Well I'm taller." Between shots, Jack's right arm instantly goes from resting at his side to a lifted position. (01:44:35)

Visible crew/equipment: A film truck with its crew and equipment is briefly visible in the reflection of a red van four shots after Jack directs Annie onto the shoulder (use pause to get a better look). (00:46:15)
29th Dec 2010
Speed (1994)
Continuity mistake: An obvious stunt double is briefly visible pushing a baby carriage full of cans into the crosswalk as Annie unknowingly rams the bus into it. Initially we see an older woman pushing the carriage along after chatting with her friend. In a view from within the moving bus's front window, however, a much younger woman has briefly taken her place for a couple of shots. (00:50:05)
