Corrected entry: At one point, Karen tells Jack that she had her mother committed, which doesn't make any sense because in the next season, in "Someplace Old, Something New", Suzanne Pleshette debuts as Karen's Mother, Lois Whitley, and we learn that Karen was estranged from Lois due to Lois' con artist ways.

Corrected entry: When Gary the cop comes looking for Phoebe, he comes to Monica's apartment. He tells her that he found her by looking at her file, which would have her address on it, so why does he come to Monica's apartment?

Psycho (1960)
Corrected entry: When Arbogast reaches the top of the stairs and Norman (as Mrs. Bates) rushes out and stabs him, in the wide shot he misses Arbogast's face, no blood appears, and the knife hits him near his chest. But in the closeup, Arbogast suddenly has a bloody slash down his face.
Correction: It's a spurt of blood from his chest wound that's on his face, not a bloody gash.

Psycho (1960)
Corrected entry: Before the famous shower scene, the woman removes her gown, and leaves it by the toilet. Once stabbed, she falls out of the shower (next to the toilet), and it has changed position. The gown then disappears when Norman is mopping the blood off the side of the bathtub and floor.
Correction: No, it's there the entire time. She drops the gown over the toilet seat. When Norman comes in to clean, it's still there, and he even picks it up and puts it on the toilet tank.

The Butterfly Effect (2004)
Corrected entry: There are two sorts of black outs in Ashton's youth. Ones that are caused by strong traumatic situations (the exploding mailbox, the burning of the dog) and the others are caused by returning to that spot from the future (the kitchen knife, the interview with the father). So, in the first sort of black outs, Ashton alters the past by returning to them (like in Back to the Future), in the second kind, the past is already altered since it's gone, and it contains Ashton's return and its causes from the very beginning (like in 12 Monkeys). Doesn't this seem weird?

The Ring (2002)
Corrected entry: After the TV strikes Rachel in the chest and she falls down the well, you can clearly see her head violently striking the stone side of the well with enough force to shatter a motorcycle helmet. Later, Rachel is alive, not bleeding, and strangely doesn't even seem to have a headache.

The Omen (1976)
Corrected entry: Mrs. Thorn (Lee Remmick) is falling from the 2nd floor - she turns in mid-air and lands on her stomach, but in the closeups of her face she is lying on her back.
Correction: No, she falls into the ambulance on her back. She flips in midair and is facing upward, with her legs up in the air above her, just as she crashes into the ambulance.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001)
Corrected entry: In the scene where the first years are sorted and Draco gets sorted into Slytherin, Ron says to Harry "There isn't a witch or wizard that went bad that wasn't in Slytherin." This statement is actually incorrect. Sirius Black, although actually innocent, was in Gryffindor when he was at school, as was Peter Pettigrew, an actual Voldemort follower.
Correction: It could be that Ron's just repeating a generalization he heard, or his own biased opinion. It stands to reason that Ron wouldn't even have known what house Sirius Black was in when he was at school years before, and since Sirius Black and Peter Pettigrew weren't even mentioned in this film, we'll never know.
Correction: At this point in the series, Wormtail being a follower wasn't known to anyone but Sirius.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004)
Corrected entry: When Harry and Hermione are going back in time and face the 'Lupin' werewolf, Buckbeak shoos Lupin and Harry says 'Poor Prof. Lupin's having a really tough night.' In that shot, Harry and Hermione swap positions.

The Omen (1976)
Corrected entry: The ambassador phones his wife in hospital and insists that she gets ready to leave. However he is well aware that she is barely able to move and quite seriously injured, and he would probably not tell her to leave without consulting one of the doctors. In the book it is she that insists on leaving, whereas he tries to stop her, which seems a lot more plausible.
Correction: Ambassador Thorn had already made arrangements for his contact at the embassy, Tom, to meet her at the hospital. Chances are that he planned for Tom to meet her and help her pack up, not that she'd get up and start changing clothes right away. At any rate, he was desperate to get her out of there, so his asking her to get ready to leave is far from impossible.

Psycho (1960)
Corrected entry: Why does Norman carry a closed umbrella when it is raining?
Correction: Norman only goes back to get the umbrella so that he can hold it over Marion. By the time he gets to her, she's already under the porch's overhang, so it's useless. Hence, his later joke about his 'trusty umbrella'.

Psycho (1960)
Corrected entry: When Detective Arbogast (Martin Balsam) arrives to question Norman, he gets out of the passenger-side door of his car (we're watching from the driver's side and he's opposite us). The steering wheel looks like it's on the right side too. Flipped film?
Correction: The steering wheel is where it should be, on the left side. He parks and simply slides out the passenger side to avoid walking around.
I agree with the correction entry above, although it still seems silly, as I think getting out the drivers side and walking around would be less work than sliding across to the other door.
In fact, he does this twice in the film.

Psycho (1960)
Corrected entry: Something's not right about the money ratio in this film. The guy gives $40,000 to buy a house, which I assume in 1960 was a great deal of money and could have bought a substantial sized property. Yet when Janet Leigh trades her car in, she has to pay a difference of $700. Thats an awful big difference between two second hand cars bearing in mind the cars are quite similar and you can buy a great big house for $40,000.
Correction: The dealer knows it's a great deal of money. He starts high and expects the customer to negotiate price. It just happened that Marion wasn't in a negotiating type of mood, and even the dealer was surprised she took it for so much money.

Camelot (1967)
Corrected entry: In the scene where Guinevere is dancing and singing with the 3 knights, she places the goblet down on the table. In dancing, she hops up on the table and there in her hand is the goblet within seconds.
Correction: One of the knights hands her the goblet again. It's shown on screen.

Dirty Dancing (1987)
Corrected entry: When Baby and Johnny leave the resort to go and practise balancing over the creek in the forest, it's pouring rain when they're leaving. however, when Johnny realises that his keys are in the car, he goes over to knock the pipe out of the ground with his foot and it's sunny over there, three feet away from the car.
Correction: It's still raining, despite the patch of sun over the pipe.

The Blair Witch Project (1999)
Corrected entry: If Heather sleeps like a rock, why is it that she can hear everything that goes on at night? Do they wake her up?
Correction: As driven as Heather is to get some evidence on camera, she more than likely decided to stay up at night. It was probably spurred on by the fact that after the first night, Josh said he heard a 'definite cackle'.

Exorcist: The Beginning (2004)
Corrected entry: Repeatedly in the movie the doctor is seen giving a flesh colored band-aid to her patients, impressive since this movie is supposed to have taken place before 1950. The director even has a shot where the actor holds up his hand to show the audience what a wonderful flesh colored band-aid it is.
Correction: Flesh coloured band-aids were introduced in 1947, so the doctor using them is not unbelievable.

The Ring (2002)
Corrected entry: Rachel and Noah are the natural parents of Aiden. The problem is they both have blue eyes, and Aiden has brown eyes - a genetic impossibility.
Correction: Although not common, two blue-eyed parents can produce children with brown eyes. The Davenport genetic model, which the theory that two blue-eyed parents can't produce brown-eyed children sprang from, is now known to be outdated and inaccurate.

Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 (2000)
Corrected entry: When the goth women goes to get beer by herself she turns to see the camera behind her, but when viewed on the police video at the end it is behind the clerk instead.
Correction: None of the videos that are shown in the Police Station are the same as they were when originally shot. The difference in videos is to show that their perception of the events don't necessarily match the reality. Therefore, just because Kim saw the camera behind her doesn't mean it was actually there.

Correction: Yes, Karen was estranged from her mother due to her con artist ways. She didn't want her friends to know her mom was a con artist and that she had helped her, so it's quite possible she just made up the commitment part to explain why none of them ever saw or heard of her mother.
