Continuity mistake: The position of the pile of books next to the 'Monster Book of Monsters' book changes between shots. The top one moves quite noticeably, and there is no violent shaking between these shots. (00:14:25)

Continuity mistake: In the Leaky Cauldron, the Minister takes the lid off of a pot of pea soup. Yet after reprimanding Harry, he shakes Harry's hand and walks past the table, and you can see the lid is on the pot of pea soup. It isn't in any other shots. (00:13:05 - 00:13:55)

Continuity mistake: When in the Leaky Cauldron, there is a man offering Harry food. He holds a bowl of nuts towards Harry, and in one shot he holds the bowl with two hands, yet in the following shot he is holding it with one hand. (00:12:50)

Continuity mistake: When Marge floats off, Vernon is holding onto her, and Marge's dog is biting Vernon's trouser leg. In a closeup the dog is pulled well onto the Dursely's back lawn, as he bites Vernon's trouser leg, yet in a following wideshot the dog is dragged from the patio and onto the lawn once again, whilst biting the trouser leg. Continuity mistake: When Marge is floating off into the air, in one shot we see Dudley leaning back in horror and suprise, and he brings his arms back, off of the table and to his side. Yet in the following shot his arms are back to laying on the table and he lifts them up off the table again, but doesn't bring them to his side (he just lifts them up into the air). Then in the next wide shot they are laying on the table again. (00:04:45)

Continuity mistake: When Marge and the family are eating, Mr. Dursley pours Marge some brandy. She then tells him to pour a bit more, and in one shot he is holding the brandy bottle and glass away from each other, yet in the following shot he's pouring brandy into the glass. (00:02:35)

Continuity mistake: When Aunt Marge is round and everybody is eating, in one shot Dudley is spooning something off of his plate, yet in the following shot his spoon is up in his mouth. (00:02:25)
