Continuity mistake: When Homer walks out Circus of Values with his purchases, he bumps into Flanders, and all the presents scatter everywhere. Watch out for a red present with a green bow that goes flying near the left hand side of the screen. As soon as it hits the ground it turns into a pink box with a white bow wrapped around it, with no shot changes. (00:10:15)

Continuity mistake: When Helen and Reverend Lovejoy are singing to Belle, in the big song, Principal Skinner and Apu are standing behind them. In the next shot, they've disappeared.

Continuity mistake: When Marge is standing by the bulldozer, someone fires an arrow which is set alight, and it lands on a tree. But in the next shot the tree in which the arrow landed on has vanished.

Continuity mistake: In class, when Lisa is sitting at her desk, pondering the Jebadiah mystery, her tray of cookies and glass of milk is very visible. Then when Lisa says "The missing piece of the puzzle. I've got it." and runs out of class, the cookies and milk are no longer there.

Continuity mistake: At the kitchen table, when Homer talks about getting mocked on his own birthday, they're eating breakfast. But when Marge, Lisa, Bart and Maggie all go to pet Santa's Little Helper, the breakfast has vanished.

Continuity mistake: In 'The Thing and I' when Lisa and Bart are questioning Homer about the 'thing' up in the attic at breakfast, Homer is the only one eating. But in the next shot you can see Lisa and Bart with breakfast too. (00:01:30)

Continuity mistake: When the bottle of bourbon is found and taken out of Marge's pocket, the bottle is grey. But when Sanjay throws it to Apu, and Apu catches it, the bottle has now changed to a brown colour. (00:08:30)
