Corrected entry: When Bruce Willis is fighting the first terrorist, they both crash into a stairwell door and the door breaks off it's hinges and falls on the stairs. The floor was under construction but the door is obviously attached. I find it hard to believe that two people crashing into a office building door of that type would be enough force to break it off the hinges.

Die Hard (1988)
Corrected entry: It's been pointed out that McClane's shirt changes from white to green after he emerges from the vents; this is certainly a "cheat" by the wardrobe department to make him appear grimy and battle-worn. But notice, also, that toward the end of the film, the shirt switches back to white.
Correction: Towards the end of the film he's not wearing a shirt at all.

Die Hard (1988)
Corrected entry: After the FBI shut down all the power to the grid that the building is located in, there is a scene of the news van rushing to the home of Holly and in the background you see the building and lights are on all around it.
Correction: It's not possible to know if we are even seeing the same building that has just lost power.

Die Hard (1988)
Corrected entry: When Argyle is in the limo in the basement, he's sitting in the back on the left hand side. Then he jumps to the front seat to listen to the CB radio, after which he looks at the huge teddy bear in the mirror and says something like "What are you looking at". The bear meanwhile has himself moved over to where Argyle had been sitting!
Correction: In between these two events, Argyle has been driving the limo around the car park desperately looking for a way out. We see a couple of shots where he's cornering fast so of course the bear will move.

Die Hard (1988)
Corrected entry: After Bruce Willis has thrown the terrorist on Al's car, plenty of backup arrives. An ambulance member starts to tend to the cut on the cop's head. If you look closely, he tries to put a pad on the 'blood' on the cop's head, but when he takes it off, there is no blood on the pad.
Correction: The mistake is wrong. The ambulance guy applies the pad once then looks at it then applies it a second time. We never see the side of the pad that is applied to Al's head so we don't know if there is blood on it or not.

Die Hard (1988)
Corrected entry: I can't understand why it takes ages for the police to find out that there really are a certain amount of hostages, who were having a Christmas party? There must be hundreds of relatives and friends who would have called the police, some of them even come in person to the scene and confirm McClane's information as correct after the newsbreak.
Correction: Not much time passes between the partygoers being taken hostage and the police finding out. Certainly not enough time for anyone to have decide that their loved one should be home by now and called the police. It was a party after all, and people sometimes come home late from parties.

Die Hard (1988)
Corrected entry: In the begining of the film when John is in the limo, there's a teddy bear next to him in the back seat that has a red bow around his neck, however, in next scene, the bow is gone, and the next it magically appears.
Correction: We only see the bear in the back seat one time and the red bow is present. More importantly, McClane sits up front, to the surprise of the driver.

Correction: This is an action movie, people crashing into a door and breaking it off its hinges is perfectly in keeping with the genre.
