Other mistake: There were no gorgons named Megara. The three that existed were Medusa, Euryale, and Stheno.

Trivia: Yet another movie Peter Cushing and Sir Christopher Lee did together for Hammer Films. They'd previously done several Dracula movies, The Mummy, Frankenstein, and The Hound of the Baskervilles.
Trivia: Michael Goodliffe plays Richard Pasco's father in the movie, even though in real life he's only 12 years older than Pasco.
Prof. Karl Meister: Well, I hadn't seen you for some considerable time, so I thought I'd come see what you're doing.
Paul Heitz: It's a long story.
Prof. Karl Meister: I've come a long way to hear it.
Prof. Karl Meister: Good heavens, Paul. What's happened to you?
Paul Heitz: Oh, why I've um, I've been ill.
Prof. Karl Meister: Ill? You must have been in your grave and dug your way out.

Professor Jules Heitz: That's one of the most unscientific remarks I have ever heard. I believe in the existence of everything which the human brain is unable to disprove.
