Factual error: At the start of the movie you can see the Flag of Great Britain on Solomon's ship. The film is set in 1600 and the Union flag didn't exist until 1606.

Factual error: Early on in the film, Kane takes refuge in a monastery. But the movie takes place in 1600, and by this time all the monasteries in England had been taken over and dissolved by the Crown (Henry VIII).
Factual error: In the scene where Kane has to shoot his father, a flint lock pistol is used. The film is described as the sixteenth century, but flint locks arrived in the seventeenth century (1630 to be precise).
Solomon Kane: My God. Only you can help me now.
Solomon Kane: There is evil walking this earth, and I will hunt it down, and send it burning back to Hell.
Solomon Kane: I'm a man of peace now.
