Continuity mistake: Mr Angel is ordered to clear the gangplank of women. However the women change between shots in number and are totally different appearance wise.

Trivia: The original title of this movie was going to be "Carry On Up The Armada", but unfortunately it didn't find favour with the British Board of Film Censors.
Trivia: Unlike what most people unfamiliar with British military history may think, the kiss from Hardy to the dying Admiral Nelson is actually historic and really did happen, though the moment was comicked up a bit.
Trivia: Juliet Mills was pregnant throughout the filming. She did not tell anyone about her pregnancy due to fears of being fired from the project.
