Continuity mistake: When Dredd is talking to Hershey in her wrecked apartment the cut above his eye runs across his eyelid but later on when he's talking with Rico in the Janus lab the cut follows his eyebrow and doesn't touch his eyelid.
Judge Dredd (1995)
Directed by: Danny Cannon
Starring: Sylvester Stallone, Max von Sydow, Rob Schneider, Armand Assante
Continuity mistake: In the scene where one of the "high council" is speaking (behind a desk or pedastal), there is a close-up shot of the highest ranking council member's face. In his nostril you can see a dry booger. They then change the shot and then come back to a close-up of his face. The booger is no longer there. Sorry if this is a bit gross, but I found it amusing.
Revealing mistake: In one of the final scenes where Stallone is hanging out of the Statue of Liberty, you can see that his "JUSTICE TATTOO" on his upper arm is a fake. You can see at the edge of the tattoo that it is glued on the skin.
Trivia: James Earl Jones provided the opening narration.
Trivia: After the fake Dredd kills the judge and his wife in their apartment, the camera then cuts to a street scene in which Hershey is calling in their location as "at the corner of Burns and Allen." This is a cinematic tip-of-the-hat to the legendary comedy team of George Burns and his wife Gracie Allen. She also says they are "at the corner of Abbot and Costello" in the beginning.
Trivia: Before accepting the role, Sylvester Stallone had no idea what Judge Dredd was.
Rico: Why did you judge me? Why did you judge me?
Judge Dredd: You killed innocent people.
Rico: A means to an end.
Judge Dredd: You started a massacre.
Rico: I caused a revolution.
Judge Dredd: You betrayed THE LAW.
Rico: Lawwwww.
Judge Dredd: It's a lie! The evidence has been falsified! It's impossible! I never broke the law, I AM THE LAW.
Brisco: Judge Dredd, take cover.
Judge Dredd: They're firing 20 milimetre caseless flechette rounds at 300 metres. The effective lethal range is 200 metres. You're safe... so what are you doing down there, Judge Hershey?
Judge Hershey: Waiting for backup.
Judge Dredd: It's here.
Question: Why do some Judges have a sort of eagle on their armour, when some are just symmetrical?
Question: The clones are released prematurely, one even sits up. Then the facility seems to spontaneously explode. What caused this? What happened to that one clone.
Answer: The facility only ever cloned Rico and Dredd. It had never been tested at max capacity. The equipment was also 30 years old and Rico tried to birth the clones early which the system wasn't designed for. The stress of all these things added up to destroy it.
