Factual error: When Ryuuichi shoots the man in the car with the shotgun, you see a single large glop of blood hit the windshield. From this range, however, the man's head would splatter all over, not just in the one direction as shown in the movie.
Dead or Alive (1999)
Directed by: Takashi Miike
Starring: Riki Takeuchi, Sho Aikawa, Hitoshi Ozawa, Renji Ishibashi
Revealing mistake: When the man accidentally coats his hand in breading and cooks it in the boiling oil, you can tell his hand has not been damaged at all. The breading on the outside is just a little cooked, but his skin underneath seems perfect.
Revealing mistake: When Ryuuichi gets the "fireball" at the end of the movie, the motion of the ball (Computer Generated) doesn't always mach Ryuuichi's hand motions.
Trivia: There are two versions of the DVD available in the US, an R-Rated edition and the uncut original edition. One funny thing about the cut R-rated edition is that in the opening montage scene, despite the footage of the homosexual gangster raping the busboy having been taken out, you can still hear the audio and sound effects overlapping the other shots in the scene.
Detective Jojima: My father was a small-village cop in a town where nothing ever happened. He just hung around like a scarecrow, until he died. But like they say - even a scarecrow keeps away the sparrows.
Detective Jojima: Su Chi noodles? Must be Chan Feng.
