Continuity mistake: When Sikes is put into the headpiece and Claw has the power turned up full force the chin strap is first around Sikes's chin, then it isn't, then it is.
Inspector Gadget (1999)
Directed by: David Kellogg
Starring: Matthew Broderick, Rupert Everett, Michelle Trachtenberg, Joely Fisher
Continuity mistake: When Inspector Gadget was in the city dump, you can clearly see all his gadgets inside his body. But when he recovers and rises, he is fully clothed - he could not possibly put on his suit that fast.
Revealing mistake: At the party where Inspector Gadget lights a cigar for Scolex, he uses his thumb which flips open to reveal a flame. When they cut to the close-up of Scolex getting the cigar lit, you can see that there is a hand holding up a traditional lighter, and not Inspector Gadget's thumb any more.
Trivia: During the end credits, the voice of Brain is Don Adams, the original animated Inspector Gadget, who also performed as the inept Maxwell Smart in the old television series Get Smart.
Trivia: I wouldn't want to stay at the hospital that Gadget was staying at. When Penny runs into the room with the man in the body cast, someone on the intercom is saying 'Paging Dr. Howard, Dr. Fine, Dr. Howard. Paging Dr. Howard, Dr. Fine, Dr. Howard.' The Three Stooges were Curly Howard, Larry Fine and Moe Howard.
Trivia: In the scene where Gadgetmobile first meets Inspector Gadget, he says something about him making moves on Dr. Bradford. Inspector Gadget says his only interest in her is professional. He says the same thing about the female Inspector in Inspector Gadget 2.
Penny: Having another hero cop dream, Uncle John?
Officer John Brown: Every time I close my eyes.
Inspector Gadget: I don't get it. Why would you do this?
Dr. Claw: I'll tell you why. To make techno-warriors that never get tired, never get hungry, and never say "no." Every army in the world would be made up of my creations. Imagine the confusion, Gadget, huh? Imagine the perks. COMPRENDÉ?
Inspector Gadget: Yeah, I comprendé.
Dr. Claw: No-no-no-no-no-no-no-no. I comprendo, yo comprendo. Conjugate the word, for pity's sake.
Inspector Gadget: I'm not me anymore. I'm a hardware store.
Question: When Inspector Gadget is lying on the table with the Claw watching over him, Gadget says that Claw will never get away with this. Then Claw says, "I think someone's been watching too many Saturday morning cartoons", and then everyone looks up at the camera confused/surprised. Can any one explain what the joke is here?

Answer: The joke is that he is referring to the "Inspector Gadget" cartoon, in which the Claw never got away with any of his schemes.
